I had the EdT. Candied lemon, fruity black currant with gourmand tonka vanilla. Some say it's cheaper alternative to Chanel's AHEB but I don't find them similar. Haven't tried the EdP. Some say it's denser version of the EdT with better performance but it looses the vibrant top notes of the EdT. The EdT already has good projection and longevity on my skin.

CdR is universally agreed as the gold standard of classy leather. There are a few Cuir de Russie from different houses but only Chanel did it right (the pure parfum version). The current EdT on my skin and to my nose is more of aldehydes floral with subtle birch tar. It's quite a fleeting scent. Don't get me wrong, it's still very well-made and perfect for those looking for elegant scents. It was actually on my to-buy list. Some say Cuir de Lancome smells similar to CdR. My sample of it is on its way to me. We'll find out how true it is.

I would like to express my views on scents with monster projection. The trick is just to do less sprays and under cloths. Do the same for scents with poor projection. Spray more and on cloths.

My SOTD happens to be a classical birch tar cologne first released in 1828 - Ambra by Santa Maria Novella. Mine's obviously the current formulation.

Tried it today... It is overhyped by ang moh... Nice scent but weak longevity and projection... Worse than journey but this price really tmpting but....

Tried this one at the Starhill boutique last year but wasn't that impressed with the scent and projection. Ordered a sample of it just to give it a second chance since it's so hyped up I wanted see if it's FB worthy. To my untrained nose, it somewhat shares the same vibe with Epic minus the blackcurrant note in Jubilation and minus the soapy vibe in Epic. I'm not saying they both smell the same though. All the notes are well-blended. I get a little bit of everything. All in all it's sweet, fruity, smokey, balmy and woody. You definitely get the oud in the dry down though it's subtle on top. It has moderate projection (Epic has better) but good longevity on my skin.
