This is really Kilian Rose Oud lite...  Imo best Gucci for like dunno how many years d.. it is pricey for a designer oud RM530 more than wat versace charge for their oud noir but then the quality is on par with some of the niche rose oud combo in the market

longevity 7-8 hrs, controlled projection  overall im impressed with this one... currently available in Gucci boutique or KLIa...

or 5ml for RM42 excluding postage.. limited spilt

Let me introduce to y'all the latest member in my family - Musc Ravaguer. If BaV EdC is the sexy animalic queen, this is the sexy animalic king IMO. I purchased a 100ml bottle from Essenza Nobile for 147.06 EUR + 9.99 EUR shipping with exchange rate of 4.40, which translates to around RM691 in total :-

My parcel was opened by custom officer at KLIA for inspection for the first time. Luckily it didn't take long and completed in the usual manner. I believe it was inspected because the value exceeded RM500 but passed through because 1) Fragrances are tax-free and 2) It didn't exceed RM2,000.

I also received 3 free decants of my choice and two random samples by Serge Lutens and they are :-

When comes to bottle design, we expect no less for the jewellery designer.... it is matte black ceramic bottle like GIT and the wording is rose gold in colour... and they decided to go with a shotgun atomiser with it...

From wat i saw from the back of the tester bottle... they categorized this is oriental floral leather.. Tuberose leather lol

Following what versace and gucci did, Bvlgari also take a long time only to launch an edp flanker which it should stand on its own or private line lol... RM352 for 100ml RM296 for 60ml....

According to fragrantica the notes are: Rum, Tuberose, Guiac Wood, Leather, Iris, Tonka Bean and Benzion... the notes itself already warrant a blindbuy to me edi lol

and end up it do not disappoint. I think only those bear the name "Black" from Bvlgari baru can sell. So after observing all the Noir scents available in the designer n niche realm, Bvlgari decided to launch one for themselves. and this indeed really a dark scent.. for those who are familiar with Mona di Orio Vanille, Atelier Gold Leather, Chergui, Back to Black.... this is something similar....



Opening is really green boozy vanilla and i did compare with MdO Vanille, it is very close lol then this fella is multi-dimensional... slowly the tuberose emerges but not like the ones in carnal flower, over here u can get the rubbery trace of it.... and second stage will be tuberose iris leather.. then at the very end of it life... u get a chocolatey skin scent. if i were to describe it.. it would be Nasomatto Pardon drydown....

A designer edp can make me compare with several up-scale niches... Try it during lunch time and can i resist not to buy it after work?

What puzzle me the most is there are more designers out there slowly catching up with niche quality... and more edp for men   

so right now if you ask me top 5 designer worth getting.. without doubt: Cartier d'un Soir, Dior Homme Intense, Gucci Oud, Bvlgari Man in Black and Chanel No5 Eau Premiere

yesterday i went shopping complex trying some perfume i got my eye on. ambre sultan, chergui, un bois vanille, habit rouge. ambre sultan and chergui on my skin is too pungent for my nose while un UBV smells like synthetic vanilla on my skin but smell nice on paper. habit rouge too strong too on my nose so i decided to take a walk waiting the drydown. eventually ambre sultan n chergui smell nice and for HR i still can't take it. And I didn't buy anything lol. but got this sample, the person at the counter said its a new frag, izit?

if someone want to sell TF noir de noir 50ml around 60% full for ~rm320 is it good? or too exp?

I confused too. Outside shop jenners but inside said house of frasers 
woot, that was almost rm800. looks like I'm going to buy it coz I like NdN

The book "Scent and Subversion" is all about classic/vintage fragrances made from year 1882 to 2000. It's a good reference book for those curious about it and classic/vintage amateur alike. It's basically printed copy of author's blog, yesterdaysperfume.com with added chapters on animalic notes (which you can also find at perfumeshrine.com), future of scent and some tips. With that said, like the book "Cult Perfumes", it makes a nice coffee table book and for personal preference, I still prefer to read from a book. Demachy: Sounds interesting... How abt we pick the one with has the best fan base such as dhi and incorporate these two u mention. But then don't forget we reserve the best ingredient for prive line.

And such Dior homme parfum has been born. Enough of the corporate joke, let go to the main point the review of this baby../

They change the wording on the box to gold colour lol and I did compare the ingredient of this and dhi... The arrangement of ingredient is diff... Dhi: alcohol, aqua then parfum
Dhp: alcohol, parfum then water
So we can safely say dhp has a higher concentration than dhi... The flacon is nicely done... 75ml in 100ml size as u see the juice is darker and so do the scent...

I did a comparison, dhi on my left forearm, dhp on my right forearm... Before I go on, the note listed for DHP is not complete, it has more than that lol

now what do i get? opening is similar due to the DH backbone. DHI has this waxy lipstick vibe which is toned down from DH whereas DHP experienced this stage for like less than 5 mins then got this Pardon vibe ozzing out... it is drier and warmer than DHI.... then DHI continues to develop to the signature iris, cacao vanilla bomb which is very sensual.

Now as for DHP it develops into something darker... here is wat i get for DHP.... Iris, Cacao, Sandalwood, Leather, Oud and Rose.... dont worry it wont turn into the rose/oud combo.... DHP now is dark floral gourmand leather for the next 9hrs and counting lol.... everything here is dry and dark and well-blended..... no single note try to be outstanding and act like a mature pimple lol

Everyone play supporting role... the leather here is amazing... smoky par with the oud used in OI which give out a very masculine vibe. The dry iris, cacao and sandalwood moist and sweeten the leather and oud so u got this rich dark iris cacao leather...

No need to worry projection and longevity.... after 6hrs on my forearm, it still projecting 2 inch lol

Now the verdict... if u got DH/DHI, will this redundant? Sure NO!!! it is a beast of it own... easily best release of the year out winning Bvlgari Men in Black...
