HI all,
I am a graduate in Electrical and Electronic. I have been working for 2 years already. My job scope is software base, using C programming. I would say, it is more to firmware engineering. The problem now is, if I want to move on, I do not know whether the skills I have now is sufficient for me or not.

What if I change field, back to hardware or production? Will my pay be cut down as well? Current salary is 3k plus.

Really doubtful about the my job scope here and also the needs of the current market.

Thanks.

Yeah. Real time OS. My job scope does not touch a single thing on hardware (hardware layer stuff). I am doing the interfacing of the hardware and user interface. Ya Finite state machine stuff. Not bored with colleague but sometimes, i felt that I believe a engineering line does not stop here. I want to explore more because the market out there requires. Nope to production and testing. I prefer RnD. But it is kinda hard to find in KL. I'm in Penang by the way.
Dreamer, is firmware engineering having a good future?
