Hi..i have a few questions on Q10ii

-how is 3D playback performance?
-do it support all type of 3D format?
-can it handle HD movie with more than 30Gb and higher bitrate?
-firmware update support is reliable?
*
Thank you for inquiry bro, please find below my answer :

1). Personally I hv tested the 3D movies in my Samsung LED TV, I do not see any performance problem.
2). It support side by side, top down and BlueDay 3D. In the market the 3D movies files are in MP4, MKV and BDISO format, all supported
3). Because today processor with dual core/quad core are fast enough to play huge movies files, you can rest assure about this doubt. Even very low end Android Player can play 30GB or higher files already today. I think you are influenced by the traditional media player.
4). Himedia has its repetition because of the continuous firmware improvement. If you check the history of Q5/Q10, the firmware version, there are more than 15 versions available until now. Even Q5/Q10 already end of sale in October, but this month Himedia still release new firmware for version 1.1.5 as mentioned in this thread.

Since you are survey the player, just share with you about the selection criteria of Android TV box :
1). Due to the the box running in Android OS and the flexibility of install Android App, the function of the box is beyond the limit. Post sales support and sharing of experiences is as important in order to fully utilize your box.
2). Selection criteria of Android TV box is not the CPU speed or number of cores, very important is the audio/video decoding capability and the reliability of the hardware.
3). Renown hardware principle with in-house Android engineer to continuously develop the firmware to fix software bugs and capable to develop Android Apps for valued added functionality.
4). The input and output capability to fulfill different needs such as Video Cam, home theater, Amplifier and etc.
5). Please avoid Stick base Android TV due to the heat and wifi signal issues.

Bro, i'm looking for a 3D media player n  have a few questions
- can q10ii play various type of 3d file?
-can q10ii play movie file >30Gb n high bitrate like realtek n sigma chip player?
Curently i used xtreamer pro n want to upgrade to 3D player.
*
Q10II support 3 different 3D merging : side by side, top down and BlueDay 3D. The supported file format included MP4, MKV and BDISO and etc.

Q10II can play huge file more that 30GB and high bit rate. I believe you read this from somewhere long time ago. However, this question is no longer applicable because most of the low end player also could play huge movies file already because of today CPU speed. Sigma chipset no longer monopoly the market anymore.

QUOTE(soonsian @ Feb 7 2014, 12:59 PM)
I just got my Q10ii from nicety yesterday. When I use the xbmc player to play local movie file, I find it is lagging. Initially I thought it is due to xbmc using its player to play the file, so what I did is rename the custom playercorefactory.HimediaPlayer that is in the userdata folder to playercorefactory.xml. When I relaunch the xbmc and play the local video file, it is still show lagging. If I play the same video file from Media Center, no lagging at all. Any people encounter this?
*
Bro, pls email me the screen of the xBMC player just to verify the correct setting for the external player.

However, we do not encourage to play local movies from xBMC. Use xBMC for online streaming instead.

Bro can pm what is the different for q5ii , q6ii and q10ii .

And what is ur recommendation for which model ?
Hope can hear for. Ur reply soon...
*
Thank you for inquiry bro.

Q5II and Q6II are the same except the color and the power button on top of Q6II.

Q10II differentiation compare to Q5II :
LED Panel and Smart Touch-Key
Aluminum Housing and Low-noise Fan ( for HDD Cooling )
USB3.0 Device (connect to PC for file copy)
Initiative Clamshell Internal 3.5'HDD Docking Design
RJ45 1000BaseT Ethernet interface

As the seller of course I will recommend the highest end Q10II. If there is budget constraint then I will recommend Q6II.

Android Smart TV Box is not mean to replace traditional TV station but additional entertainment equipment at your home including :

1). Play media files MP4, MKV, RMVB and etc with full HD resolution and high quality audio codec, 5.1 or 7.1 channel.

2). Transform your TV became Smart TV to browse Internet or email.

3). Works similarly as Android phone, down load and play Android Apps or Android Games.

4). Airplay the music from iPhone or iPad to your sound system(Hifi/AV receiver)

5). Share files with PC or vice versa.

6). Online streaming movies and dramas such as PPS & PPTV. P/S: to be noted the available of the free streaming apps is beyond our control, we are unable to guarantee the availability

The apps preinstalled include xBMC, Chinese streaming apps, backup tools and etc.

Hi Nicety,

It was too late for me to find your service before I purchased my unit. I was trying to search for the firmware 1.0.5 for my Q10II, and unfortunately I can't find it officially from Himedia portal.

Is the 1.0.5 firmware official? Is there any method i could find the working links?

Appreciate your help...

Thanks

Regards,

Michael
