it's true kodi17.1 is heavier than 16.1
but acceptable to me, much the same with the same build on my other android5.1 device.

local playback incl nas with kodi... i still find it weird why people wanna do that when there is a superior native player!

planet earth2... yeah... i am about to test this 4k hd audio hevc file if it will work with SMB windows at 2.4ghz - my router is getting old! laugh.gif

Sorry for my late response, was busy today.

The Kodi has been preinstalled with addons to watch English, china, Korean and HK dramas. Just plug, connect to internet and play.

Geoblock is depend on the app not the box. We have preinstalled multiple apps, when one app is blocked just switch to another. China movies or drama had no worry at all because there are too many apps to watch Chinese drama. Even YouTube has lots of Chinese dramas and variety shows.

Thank you very @AVFAN and @cyrobytes for sharing your sharing.

1). Android box only could be power on by IR not RF. use the method mentioned by cyrobytes or teach the air mouse to learn RF signal as mentioned in the getting started guide email.

2) & 3). Android 7 firmware still new, no deny there are improvements or bugs fixes in the future.

4). As mentioned by AVFAN, this is due to the addons you installed. Be patient and let the Kodi shutdown properly.

You can actually see HDR UDH lit up on TV when HDR is detected and play
- Q10 pro direct to TV and coaxial to SPDIF as AVR does not support 4K HDR passthrough
- actually I referring watching 24hz mkv and Himedia and exit mid day by pressing remote return and HDMI lost signal detected by TV. If I press return 2nd time on remote Himedia syncs back to TV at 4k60hz.. I suspect autoswitch freq bug in himedia.

u probably want to try android7 firmware 2.0.1.

Thanks..nicety shipped the unit with 2.01..I have not installed any apps..apparently the HDR aspect ratio is a firmware bug...(see http://www.futeko.com/newforum/index.php?topic=1682.0 )...new firmware coming in May to fix this and Kodi 17.x audio passthrough

i see... perhaps i haven't played too many HDR videos.

kodi audio pass through not fixed with 2.0.3, i believe.

if another new firmware coming in may, i will wait...

Bro,Im using Asus router that support Download manager. Downloaded items will be save to the external drive. Since q10 can put external drive n the enclosure,Can I connect my asus router to q10 so that the downloaded items goes straight to Q10 drive?

Is your Asus support Samba? If yes then just activate samba service in Q10 and connect assist to Q10'via samba.

Sharing new Himedia video player (from Himedia China forum). Come with new UI. HDR aspect ratio still not fix.
Cannot revert back to original player after installed the apk.
Support Version: 1.0.8、1.0.9、1.1.0, Not support 2.0.0 and above.

Hi,

Encounter an issue with Q10 pro firmware 2.01 on Nougat. Connected to a 4K display @ 60Hz. When playing SDR or HDR mkv over NAS using Himedia Media Player, if press Menu and Advanced, the Imperex settings cannot be adjusted or disabled. I enabled switch to 24hz mode
There is an error message Display is not in SDR mode.
Please advise. Thanks
