ok... i gonna end my kernel hunt i guess... after lean, after franco, after AK stable and experimental until SKL250 i've tried... now i end up to FANCY KERNEL r26 test 2. Personally test 5 is not as good as test 2... they claim to have that data drop but it doesnt happen to me... but test 2 is the way to go...

I found an underrated rom(vanir rom)... and now underrated kernel which is so much better than AK to be honest with you. since 4.2.2 era, my phone battery drain like SIAO... and basically idling standby for 3 hours, my nexus drop from 100 to 96... tat is normal... and now... with this fancy. 4 hours standby only drop 1%? my eyes must be wrong. let me test for another days or 2.

try it or u will regret it. XD

Maguro

When I flashed test 2, my phone felt way faster than it has in quite a while (on Slim 5.5)

Test 2 ran for about 10 or so hours? Amazing through out.

Flashed test 5, thought it was the same. But within a few hours felt the weird hang here and there and then it would kick full gear. I tried ondemandplus and hyper on both and as both were fast, test 2 felt night and day snappier.

Not sure about data drops yet, not sure if I have had them in the past or not. Been testing since test 5 though, and haven't seen any.

QUOTE
I have almost the exact same setup (slim 5.5) and reaction. Initial install was smooth but after a couple of hours it started to feel laggy, even after a reboot.

As mentioned, I re flashed test 5 before bed and let it settle on the charger over night. Seemed ok this morning but for whatever reason my swift key is still a little laggy. Might switch back to test 2 or give the new AK 255 a spin

QUOTE
Update. Not sure what was changed. But with test 5 my data was crawling. Took forever to load stuff like instagram and web pages. Thought it might be my network so I reverted back to test 2 and now data connection speeds seems normal again.

I never had data drops before so I can not comment if test 5 resolved the data drop issue.

Edit: swift key seems smoother with test 2 also.

On the other hand

It was about 18hr and 35m that i charged my phone, now still 70%... Today i got very light usage(make some calls & sms) but i can confirm, fancy r26 test 5 is getting better performance and battery life with liquid rom. I love it so much.

In addition, i have my live wallpaper on and overclocked to 1.4ghz...

QUOTE
From my experience, test 5 was slightly smoother than test 2. The data drops were still existent and frequent.

Test 05 is ready for download, it is already updated to the latest Linux 3.0.79 and also includes some changed block tweaks. The block tweaks are different from the ones in test 02 (which performed very good; but for test 05 I even did some benchmarking to find optimal values). That said: I want you to report whether test 02 or the new test 05 are faster / smoother.

Let me try test 2 first laugh.gif
