how to restart systemUI
*
What I did was goto hybrid engine --> interface --> change any value and then apply. In order to apply my changes it will restart the systemUI hehe

Was attracted by PAs perapp expand mode but was irritated by the lags after a while, looked around and found AOSPAL . anybody using this ROM? I'm using it for a day and seems like no more stuttering issues and apps open faster in halo

Anyone using this as well?

i always doubt that why linaro... PA does not have linaro build but it is still smooth. why?
*
PA lags for me if continue usage over few hours with HALO , but most probably its due to systemUI bug

now using AOSPAL which is PA + compile with Linaro , no such issue anymore and those overlay apps does open much faster smile.gif

I don't think so, running smooth here. I guess most probably is stock kernel. just try to pair with other kernel...
*
proven and tested bro, using stock and fancy kernel. Once i got hit by lag, nothing helps except restarting systemUI

btw, this is based on one version older than current 1

what kernel you pairing with PA anyway ?

that's right, need to learn the feature and u'll appreciate the hardwork of dev; else, some user just complaint useless after flash PA without explore it or just for few minutes then change/flash other ROM.

the latest build add swiping down the HALO to hide it and swiping up to show again.  icon_idea.gif
*
Ya the new feature for halo really makes it much more usable smile.gif

PA is nice in its own way, but I do miss some AOKP features haha

how u manage to do that ah? my 1 year old (next month) gnex battery can barely last me 5 hours a day...

today try this rom:  Linaro 4.8.1 Optimized AOSPA - Built With Love.

i am sure got ppl try it already..good battery ?
*
Battery more dependent on the apps and kernel + tweaks u are using, but I can surely confirm that this ROM is the fastest PA ROM for our gnex!

Seriously the speed differences with the original PA is huge!

My friend's a year old GNX just went AWOL earlier today. The screen suddenly went crazy with them glitches and he's stuck in a bootloop (with glitches too). Sometimes it pass through the glitch but not for long. Gone to CWM, factory reset/data, clear cache then re-flashed Stock 4.2.2 rom but still, the glitch won't go away. P/S: Was previously on PA 3.2 rom + lean kernel.

Anyone knows how to troubleshoot?
*
This might sound irrelevant by try another battery . My Note have the same exact symptoms when the battery was failing

Just wanna ask you guys on 3G syncing all the time (just gmail and whatsapp) how much standby time can you get?

I mean with screen off, in %/hr.
*
most of the time 1-2%/hr with 3G syncing all push items ...

with wifi around 1%/hr

* provided you dont move your phone , when moving phone around it will need more power due to radio searching

Normally will recommend you to go direct to samsung to avoid any fake parts (I think)

Samsung price to fix the screen should be RM500++

Better off buying a second hand unit.
Btw... Paging Fancy Kernel Users

Anyone having problem going to deep sleep? I can deep sleep well with R30 but not with R31 or R32.

wlan_rx_wake and wlan_ctrl_wake bugging the phone not to let it sleep doh.gif
*
i've reverted back to version R27 and everything seems fine tongue.gif
