Edit: Other themes from this themer is also cool. The size of his apk shows he put alot of work into it. Yes size does matter.

Ever thought of looking in the play store app settings?

Menu > Settings > Auto-Update Apps > Select "Do Not Auto-Update Apps"

New play store. It defaults to auto-update if connected to wifi.

Settings > Display > Brightness > Tick "Automatic Brightness" > Adjust

Then just reduce/increase as you like.

Initial observation of my current Rom, aosp reduces my screen on time by about 1/3. Still acceptable for me.

Animation maybe. And I find default auto brightness higher than tw base Rom but that's just me.

Also I find Google services among the highest in battery consumption. I am trying some tweak now and see how it goes. Dunno if this is a 4.2.2 issue or not.

You cannot disable the whole framework. I am trying to disable some useless services in the framework.

I adjusted the auto brightness curve to be darker.

Here you go. Sucky aosp battery life. Should be able to get more than 4 hrs sot if I run out to zero. Have done some tweaking so let's see if I can improve it tomorrow.

Yeah i believe all aosp base rom for Note 2 are not optimize like i said before.
