QUOTE(antt00 @ May 21 2013, 10:53 AM) Are you making your own app or did u use UCCW? that was an app i programmed on my own, then destroyed my phone, so no time to try out the uccw yet. will try later, as i now plan to not use the clock app i made first.

QUOTE(antt00 @ May 21 2013, 10:56 AM) I think you got the app code mix up with your nuclear bomb code lar. So it went KA-BOOM!!! even so, the nuclear is supposed to be targeted somewhere else, not on my phone itself haha.

wow, now my phone is back to normal, but when i modify the systemui.apk, i not only no longer get the transparent status bar, i even get an error, which means i have to live without it. plus there's now a small hole on my screen protector. any recommendations for cheap ones? i feel those from sgp are overrated.

QUOTE(antt00 @ May 21 2013, 11:31 AM) How the... you get a hole in the screen protector. Cheap ones dun need recommendations. Just walk into any phone shop and ask for the cheapest they got. You need to wipe system and reflash rom i guess. i also don't know, pretty sure the hole wasn't there yesterday. but i ask for recommendations because i want cheap but good quality. (greedy as hell i know) but yesterday i went to the extent of wiping til there's no longer any os, even twrp also gone, and started fresh, so there shouldn't be a problem no? i'm still confused, i miss my semi transparent status bar.

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 21 2013, 11:50 AM) Wechat is a really a wakelocks sucker. I installed it on Saturday's night and went to sleep after that. OMG, it woke my phone so many times and my battery drained a lot because of that. Geram. No choice but to uninstall it. Viber and Line as well. I'm sad. I only have WhatsApp and I want the free calls from Viber. They have to do this to me. QUOTE(girl83 @ May 21 2013, 11:54 AM) overnight if u leave wechat/viber there or quit the program, it will still eat ur battery 35-50% i'm still curious as to why i'm the only one not experiencing this with wechat.

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 21 2013, 12:10 PM) Don't laugh at me la. I'm already very miserable. You want is it? no, just curious. QUOTE(antt00 @ May 21 2013, 12:10 PM) a) Your battery is nuclear powered. Or b) U dun really use it as extensive as the others. Or c) Your battery life already suck from the start hence it cannot do any further damage. Or d) All of the above. definitely not a, c, or d. i would say it's b since i only check moments from time to time with it, and my friends don't spam me on wechat anymore as they went back to whatsapp lol.

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 21 2013, 12:16 PM) I would say, my friends don't spam Wechat at all. From my installation till uninstallation, I didn't receive any Wechat message. Yet it drained over the night. this is what i don't understand, i see this happen to many people yet i don't suffer such problem. now i am wondering is there any way to make these apps not consume so much battery.

QUOTE(d33pbluez @ May 21 2013, 01:50 PM) Yeah, be careful if you planing to buy third parties cover that doesn't come with the NFC contact....like me  well the thing is, i don't think you'll use it often. also, most battery cover replacements don't usually come with the nfc chip so it's not really a problem. QUOTE(d33pbluez @ May 21 2013, 01:59 PM) Haha... coincidently, spoke of him ? ...the cover was brought from him with missing NFC contact.... that's because he sells both types, covers with and without nfc. perhaps you did not choose properly before buying. i'm sure it will be mentioned in the item description whether or not nfc is included for the particular item.

QUOTE(Bill2012 @ May 21 2013, 05:00 PM) just now read about the wakelock and download the app, my google map is the biggest contributor so I disable the location thingy. by the way may I know what is the big deal? just disable whatever show as battery drainer right? why some post like like very serious one? thanks in advise.. because their big contributors to battery drainage are apps that they use frequently perhaps.
