Yeah man when I got the Note1 it felt a little awkward the first few days. No regrets after that. Best thing for browsing.

Framaroot is by the guy who discovered the Exynos abuse exploit, so I'm quite sure his apk is capable.

noobi3 recommended TWRP EFS backup, coz the one in that link by as i9000 had some problems with some earlier versions of the script.

Anyway,

***HELP PLEASE***

wesamothman from Assassin ROM reported a problem with the Survey Form. No responses were accepted. Can some of you just pop in a few TEST entries and report if it populates? I will logout and probably reboot my PC to check.

Thanks.

MOP supports zip file mar..
Is the TWRP backup the same as Nandroid ?
I thought Nandroid is only for CWM
*
The MOP zip is not your CWM zip !!!! MOP zip is only the special type called "Update.zip". Otherwise you need the TAR or TAR.MD5 I think.

I could be wrong but I screwed myself before by flashing a zip ROM via MOP tongue.gif

hmm.gif not sure what happened then.
I downloaded the 2.5.0.1 zip file and flash via MOP directly using the "Open File"..

p/s: not flashing CWM, am flashing TWRP
*
I know you were flashing TWRP. I meant that MOP does (did??) not recognize the flashable zips (usually referred to as CWM zip) but it will still flash them anyway, probably with unpredictable results.

It could be that current versions can actually flash CWM zips properly?

BobcatROM so highly rated.
Would be my first Custom ROM then.. laugh.gif

Thanks bro. But note that as of about 8pm last night, the survey form for some strange reason stopped passing entries to the response sheet. Won't affect your flashing activities anyway.

I've got to spend a bit of time trying to fix or re-do the survey form.

Hahhaaha that's how the REAL WORLD color supposed to look like tongue.gif that's why some people complain about over saturation with the Samsung AMOLED screens.

Personally I don't care either way too much but more vivid colors do look more pleasing.

oh guys, i noticed normally once i'm done flashing something, there will be a 'successful' message on twrp, but earlier when i flashed wanamlite 3.7 it said 'failed', but nothing seems wrong in the activity log above the message, and nothing seems wrong after reboot either, it still flashed to wanamlite 3.7. should i be scared?

it just some graphical script on installation inside cwm...

I wonder how would arapaima taste, given its size and all.......

Toman tastes nice, very smooth flesh.

Anyway, I suppose a short glossary of some terms should be in order. But damn busy now. Weekend perhaps.

edan1979 good one. Add up on Post 17 I suppose, since post 7 and 8 are extremely lengthy now. Or maybe I re-arrange by pushing it all down by 1 post.

Guys, got some quickie wanna ask as I just hands on my GN2 not long ago, migrates from apple. laugh.gif

Just wonder, if I've done things like rooting, custom recovery mod and etc and when I wanna send my handset for warranty I just need to do a clean original firmware flash will do? I mean something like apple, a full restore will wipe everything include jailbreak and etc.

Quite abit confuse with the triangle away thingy, and there's post on xda about pre-rooted stock ROM which wont increase flag counter. I'm kinda rclxub.gif ..
*
If you want to send back for warranty:

TriangleAway => Unroot => Reflash normal stock

noobi3 is x3 of me already

jsut a little blasphemous thinking, since iOS7 (or is it 6? the one that is supposed to be announced at WWDC, doesn't matter...) is rumored to have a flat UI with no skeuomorphism and reduced or no 3D elements, i have adopted the same and now have a 2D everything flat icons and wallpaper wooohoo

I thought you would prefer, um, a more full-bodied experience than such flat looking elements. whistling.gif

Guys if i have a custom kernel and i nid flash rom and g apps to update the rom. The custom kernel will need reflash again?
*
QUOTE(antt00 @ May 13 2013, 04:38 PM)
Yes.

Eh, he is updating his ROM and Gapps. Why does he need to reflash his kernel? Sorry for noob question.

QUOTE(alexng2208 @ May 13 2013, 05:22 PM)
better not then

just freeze it (if you are using TBPro)  brows.gif
*
I discovered that if you DISABLED an app from the built in App Manager, it actually shows up as FROZEN in TiBU. So this means "freeze" = Disabled ? Coz the app disappeared from my app drawer as well.

A list of China phones from the China phone thread:

One with an interesting name:
Amoi N828 Big V

And a Note 2 namesake and lookalike:

Star Note 2 N7189

This was the model that a lot of Lelong sellers were pushing as a Note 2 equivalent a while back I recall.
