ah yes i know what i mean is the submit is it good enough or is there still other survey or thing like that.  biggrin.gif

An honest entry is enough rclxms.gif

As you play around with more ROMs, you can submit an entry for all the ROMs you've tried, for each specific version.

You can click on the other statistic links in the XDA thread to see the results and charts.

iOS fan concept.

http://www.phonearena.com/news/iOS-7-conce...78#article_item

I'm only thinking that since the UI is optimized for fixed-pixel count display, I don't think they will be able to do resizable widgets, and I wonder how will they handle redraw of live widgets like floating clouds etc since this will invoke the GPU, therefore battery life will be even worse. hmm.gif

Hi guys, I have a N7105.

I'm trying to run GTA:VCS on PPSSPP and it lags very badly.

I suspect its our outdated GPU since it performs very badly on benchmarks such as 3Dmark
*
Or maybe the game is badly written? Not the first time. What is PPSSPP ?

Emulator? Any kind of emulation is going to suck somewhat. It is running JIT code, so the parser has to be very efficient. If not, then...

If it says it can work on the following:

QUOTE
PPSSPP works on all modern Android devices. It's been confirmed to run on the following:

    Nexus One
    Nexus S
    Galaxy Nexus
    Nexus 4
    Nexus 7
    Nexus 10
    Samsung Galaxy S
    Samsung Galaxy S2
    Samsung Galaxy S3
Sony Xperia Play (buttons work, touch joystick not yet supported)
    Asus Transformer
    Ainol Novo7 Advanced II
    Galaxy Note 2
    Xperia V
I'm quite sure the others are going to lag even worse. Only the Nexus 10 in this list, and maybe Nexus 4, has a more powerful GPU.

hooh888 any views on this?

This is my 1st time to root my note 2. However, I have problem in very 1st step. My ID:COM didn't turn to blue after connecting my device to PC usb. Already install Samsung USB driver. On normal mode, the same PC can detect phone as I can access the phone storage from MyComputer.

You should be using the TAR file right, and not the TAR.MD5 file?

Yes. Already press Vol down + Home +Power. And then, press Volume UP button.
*
So are you already in Download Mode?

Anyway you could also try Dr Ketan's method 1, but use the file by benny888 as per this
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=findpost&pid=59496003

Then use Mobile Odin to flash in the recovery.

IIRC, the Adreno 225 is faster than our Mali400MP GPU
*
That is probably true but still, you can't expect an emulator to run at native speeds. And IINM, Mali documentation was not sufficient to build a full performance driver so emulation WILL suck.

Sorry. This is my 1st time root android. I just flash TWRP recovery in Mobile Odin. Now I know TWRP is an apps to for recovery purpose.

The reason I mention that I want to back up my device because I'm following step 2 which is backup my EFS folder. I didn't know I can do this in TWRP.

So after backup my device with TWRP, can I say my rooting is complete?
*
In a way yes. But make sure you keep at least 2 copies of your EFS backup, one on the phone and one on the PC. And you should keep one in some cloud service. Your other backup (system, data) can be stored anywhere else you wish.

Good backup practice should be weekly for most things, which can be automated via Titanium.

You can also go down the path of flashoholism tongue.gif

He/She's running the PSP emulator. That will surely impact performance.

Thanks joytest. Such a huge file. Around 3.5GB in my phone (ticked all option in TWRP backup).
So for better backup, I should get Titanium & Nandroid is it? Since they provide online/cloud backup.
*
Not necesarily. Nandroid is done via the recovery. So what you have is a "nandroid" in TWRP format. A nandroid is everything on your phone, and is an insurance policy in case you screw up flashing a new ROM.

Titanium backs up your app+data and lets you make selective restore or full restore after a new ROM.

Today's latest score statistics on "Best" ROM:
user posted image

This is filtered for ROMs that have at least 3 entries. Max score 45.

Column A is ROM Name, Column B is ROM Version. Column C is the number of submissions.

I made a weighting score for Speedy Updates based on number of days between updates, and adjusted some scores which were too high on Speedy Updates.

Is it twrp unable to backup the efs for n7105 ah? Read around xda only one way to backup.
The efs file is exceptionally small not over 100kb . I remember it should be around 10mb
*
Perhaps the data is highly compressible? I also recall the backup with the EFS tool was about 8mb.

QUOTE(jakgelap @ May 12 2013, 07:12 PM)

One of the CM10.1 based ROMs.

Ohh.. that means now new bootloader can liau.
no need to downgrade anymore. That's great news.

Saw some comments saying that TWRP is much better than CWM.
After 5 months, suddenly I feel like coming back to the old habit of ROM flashing again laugh.gif
*
Everyone has been flashing left, right and center. No reports of issues with the new bootloader so far.

Unlike what I was just reading about the Verizon Note2 bootloader which is a cat and mouse game between the xda devs and the OTA updates that re-lock it.

Do look forward to seeing your entries in the survey:)
