help me ppl....ok plz tell me izzit my xbox got problem?lightning struck last friday fry my modem aka router n my network card...xbox is switch off n not powered on at all....so got back my modem n new network card boot up my pc n everything seem ok except when i try to FTP OR INTERGRATED XBOX TO MY NETWORK it just cant detect try all kind of shit oledi...from dhcp to static to using xbox live to detect oso cannot...cable connected ip addresed not resolved....izzit my xbox network card kong oledi?help me plz give me some light...

bro...that happened to me before...but lucky for me, my laptop network port still working...although the xbox is powered off, as long as your phone cable and xbox connected to your router,fried by by lightning strike, your xbox network port will get affected as well...
sorry bro, the only way to fix this is by getting your xbox network port replaced with a new one...
contact Djinn...last time he charge me RM 130 for replacement...

Yeah, it'll be something similiar. But then, the most difficult part would be finding a venue...anyone got a suitable venue?

bro, what what xbox dvd drive you have?
from my point of view, if its not broken, dont change...
sometimes my samsung drive also "malas" to read dvd-r but read dvd-rw flawlesly...
try getting dvd-rw disc....
brand new dvd drive would set you at least rm 200 if not mistaken, can ask Djinn for confirmation on that....

emmm if Rm288 for SAMSUNG drive is worth it bcoz is the best can load any disc even better for DVD-R

if they give Thompson drrive than no need to change bcoz the worst one

XBOX got 3 type of DVD-ROM

Thomson , Philips and Samsung

now ur XBOX is using which DVD-ROM

try to burn ur disc using 2x if used more than 2.4x it wont read soo far i used different DVD disc no problem try to find those DVD-R that 4x than u can burn 2.4x

that day i buy DVD-R 16x the loest i can burn is 4x i try 1 disc it cant read try to find those 4x

wanna ask you ppl that play xbox on lcd or plasma.. on games that don't support 16:9 aspect ratio, so you play 4:3 with black bars on the sides or stretch out to fill the screen?

I use my Xbox with a Sharp AQUOS 37" LCD TV. I have it stretched out to view full screen when I play games. Normally I just use my Xbox as a media center and watch Family Guy

that is a cool tv you got there yetieater, i was just wondering whether games will look horrible when stretched to fill the screen.
