QUOTE(UnifiAgent @ May 24 2013, 03:32 PM) Guys. I got an offer for the pre-registered Golf R. Should I take it or wait for the new golf gti? Personally, wait for the new Mk7 GTI. Hopefully they bring the models in with the performance package! And then you get a lighter car with 230ps of power. It is a lot more fun to drive especially with 2WD, you get the feel the surge.

QUOTE(fr0sti3 @ May 27 2013, 10:54 PM) still too early to tell if the new mk7 dq200 is faulty yet, i been checking online forums same here.there was a vw exhibition in alamanda just now.the salesgirl there too mentioned about a probable price hike for the next incoming mk7 batch. nationwide sales tactics or plausible rumours?

Not sales tactic; there will be a price increase.

so much for "people's car". I guess that only applies everywhere else around the world BUT Malaysia.

According to Star motoring they only bringing the 'standard' GTI Mk7 this year ? If this is true , totally spoil my plan to upgrade since almost every review highly recommend to opt for 'performance' package.

Just curious. After I parked my mk6 GTI today in the parking lot for about 30 minutes,i noticed a pool of water under the car as I left . The water came from my car.Is this some aircon water or what? Is this normal?!!

so my friend let me test drove his new beetle 1.2 he got last thursday. we managed to squeeze 3 people into the back seat. initially we only planned to drive around in the campus but then we decided to go outside to test the power. it's really surprising that you get such feel for a 1.2 engine.
but then, while i was going over another bump, suddenly everything changes. EPC and ESP warning lighted up, check engine light was flashing, on the display it says "Electronic Stability Control (ESC) malfunction", D mode changed to manual mode, pressing the pedal does only a little bit, so we slowly crawled to the side of the road (this happened in the middle of the road), turn into some shop lots, and immediately we stopped in front of those shops, the engine died. Took out the key for a while and restart the vehicle, ESC light still present but the engine and transmission is okay. Then we decided to restart the vehicle again only the ESC warning goes away....
I think he quite "sueh", one of his speakers already got problems....

Likely mecha issue with the Bug. Don't sit idle; send it in to SC to have it fixed ASAP.

Different cars will have different psi ratings; also take loads (passengers) into consideration.
