I have been following this thread initiated by willielow, and then subsequently responded by Mr Weng, the sub-contractor for his plaster ceiling works.
I am the owner of that mentioned condo unit in Laman Baiduri, Subang Jaya, and I have also engaged Mr Weng to do my plaster ceiling works at about this same time.

His quote was quite detailed, with estimated quantities and unit rates. As a professional engineer, I am pleased with his detailed quotation. Mr Weng has just completed the plaster ceiling works for my condo. To put it briefly, his workmanship is good, I would say very good. I have no complaints, whatsoever. He has been accommodating too with changes here and there. I think I like his recommendation for my living room plaster ceiling works, which I must say were improvements over my own proposed ideas for the plaster ceiling works. I have no hesitation to recommend Mr Weng to my friends who intend to do such works for their homes, no issue.

Should anyone in this forum wish to see the finished works, call me 109-2280569, week-end will be better for me. Laman Baiduri is in Subang Jaya.

For the wiring tripping, i have the same situation like you but i asked my wiring man come back to fix it for me but with no charge la.

To ease this kind of headaches, you should not act like a contractor.
You should let the main contractor to handle all this mess.

My plaster ceiling is cracking at the joint. How to repair it, any one can offer help/advice? thanks!

hi escargo.. maybe take a photo of it.. i am sure there's lots of sifus here to give advice..
or maybe you can do some check list..

1- is the crack caused by water leakage from toilets/roofing?

2- any strong movement from repair works eg: stepping on ceiling whilst repairing pump or water tank?

3- if possible use a torchlight and peek through the manhole to see if there's any loose screws on the suspension system..

1) Replaster a minor slit between my beam and plaster ceiling
2) open 3 small manholes : 2 near airconds and one at bottom floor ceiling just for access to look at when i need to take a look
