Anyone already on the CM10.1 nightlies? Was wondering if the camera performs as well as on Sense, specifically the low-light performance. Hearsay it's a proprietary chip that is handling the image processing, of which non-Sense will not be able to tap into.

that is right. you will lose the burst shots, zoe and effects on non-sense rom.
however i think the low light performance will still be there. It's more of the low f/aperture lens of the camera and bigger pixiels.

Guy, planning to get mine soon once I sold my One X (Somebody pls buy from me!!). Had a question: Is the WiFi signal strong? Battery life is it better than One X? (Can last me a day with 30mins call and 1-2hour browsing and YouTube.)

There is a way for noobie root which is this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183942

As I understand this is PERMANENT ROOT.. as stated there

If you do it the other way, which is unlock bootloader urself, etc.. u can then nandroid back the recovery and then flash back to original fw.

if you unlock your bootloader, which you need to if you are planning to use custom rom, the warranty will void.
once u unlocked bootloader, u can easily and freely can use custom rom or factory firmware
