Book from Tegal Sari website itself. Remember to request for the wooden room. I wanted to book it but it's full during the period i'm going over. Sad.

Something weird happened when i wanted to book my room at Maxi Hotel.
At first, my bf make a reservation with his email last few weeks and the person in charge quoted him RPH 550000 per night and after he confirm the reservation, he dint receive any reply from them. Since July is peak season and then some ppl are saying that most of the hotel are fully booked so i decided to make another reservation at Maxi Hotel and asked them whether they still keep my room. This time, i use my mail and then guess what, the person in charge quoted me USD70 instead of the RPH 550000. So i replied and asked him why the price is so different from what he quoted last time and i also asked him to check for me whether the room my bf requested is on hold or not. Today, he replied my mail and it sounded like this actually the rupiah rate just valid for DOMESTICK OR KITA'S/KIM'S HOLDER but special for you for this time you can apply the price Rp. 550.000/room/night/nett ( incl. tax. service & breakfast also high season surcharge the rooms already block for July 12-14'09 0 (2 nights ) and how about the payment Regards Selfin Why i feel it sounded like abit fishy? But i do book it from their website. So should i proceed or not? What should i do now? This post has been edited by snow.Flakes: Mar 25 2009, 04:38 PM |

You've booked through HotelClub? Yea i've checked the price, only USD30. The rate i get is from Hotel Sorgawi itself. The people told me that USD30 is rate per room and USD6 is additional charge for peak season.

Normally they will bring you to some sort of restaurant that gonna pay them commission if you (tourists) eat there. I experienced it at Bangkok last time although i still havent go to Bali yet.
And the pricing in the restaurant is so damn expensive. Maybe you can go to Sharkey's? They provide free pickup. (= If your group is more than 4ppl then they will provide free drop off as well! |

Probably staying in Maxi or Green Garden Hotel. |

Yea our trip is on 11th - 14th July, so its like 1week plus earlier than the predicted date.
I was.. Still thinking. But, if it's really gonna happen, i think government will announce it sooner or later right? For eg like the precaution steps or what. I hope its not gonna happen! |
