Well, the DS1 that I tried has mushy modifiers (not modded).

Besides that, the construction was not good enough for me. I think it has to do with the metal plate that Filco uses to make key presses feel a lot more solid than the DS1. I also noticed frame flexing on the DS1.

Also, IIANM (it has been quite a while, like 2-3 years ago, so forgive me if this is not the case) I seem to recall that the DS1 being a lot more taller than the Filco. So typing on it was pretty uncomfortable. I did not want to be forced into buying a wrist rest for that.

Definitely Cherry stabs are more convenient to remove. Pulling out Costar stabilizers involves lots of praying and hoping I won't break the plastic inserts.
Took me around 10 minutes to change all the modifiers on my keyboard.

You are right about the logo part translation.

I am not sure if you can request leather with different colors.
Basically the pictures shows you the color AND the texture. That's the combination that they have. Also, IIANM, 9 and 10 are the same - fine texture. Just different colors.

There are some "gaming" mechanical keyboards that are larger than standard size (like normal Filcos) so they might need their wristrest to be longer. I would get the longer one just so there's some buffer room for my wrists towards the side of the keyboard.
