QUOTE(Human10 @ Jun 4 2013, 07:15 PM) Imma borrowing a legendary quote from /K/ First one..."berapa kali mak pesan, kalau takde drill, jangan buka thread" JK, no offense, impatiently waiting for your drills. Rosewill Aluminium 60%. Please read facebook post description - RM 4xx (tentative). Casing from Vortex cost you as much already. ![]() TKL didn't take picture. Exactly looking like a Filco TKL. There will be NO ROSEWILL LABEL. Should be fully compatible with a Vortex Aluminium casing. Just to be reminded...it will be RM 299...MAX. We likely will price it lower |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jun 4 2013, 07:34 PM) Read the facebook description.EDIT: NVM, I copy and paste for you: QUOTE This is one of the few new keyboards coming from Rosewill. a 60% Unit, MAC, Windows compatible keyboard with detacheable USB cable, and most notably, and aluminium facia. The keyboard will come with anodized finishing, similar to a Macbook Pro. The keyboard can be placed ON TOP of a laptop keyboard. We are requesting to drop Unix key layout support in favor of a standard layout. The keyboard will be the CHEAPEST 60% keyboard you can get with a aluminium casing. The tentative price is RM 4xx. A casing ALONE from Vortex is over 100USD. Sorry about your wallet there! Don't worry I know what fanatic wants...should have at least that much trust on me This post has been edited by CyntrixTech: Jun 4 2013, 07:37 PM |

Now we shall see...
TOPRE HEAVEN ![]() ![]() QUOTE This is the Topre Heaven. It uses the same Topre capacitive switch from the infamous Topre Realforce. The keyboard has a very understated profile and the build quality is unimaginably high that words cannot describe. The keycaps are ABS, however it feels virtually the same as the thick dye sub PBT used on the more expensive Realforce 104U. Expected SRP is RM 499-549. Down from the initial estimated price of RM 599. However, this will subject to the shipping charges. You can tell I want to make sure you guys own more than 1 mechanical keyboard. |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jun 4 2013, 07:39 PM) This thing is made to be Unix compatible. Imagine a HHKB had a child with Poker..Now, please help me with this: #1 - Please spot all the problems with this keyboard and list it out #2 - Please spoonfeed me with a PERFECT layout keyboard (Poker 2 like) including drawings of the ANSI layout. As dummy as possible. If the community can do this for me, I'll have Rosewill deliver your no-pain ultimate 60% keyboard at less than RM 500 including 3 years 1:1 exchange warranty. I have already feedback to them to include LED holes so that customers can mod their keyboards. BUT...this will likely void your warranty. A Backlit version would cost too much, I think at Rm 500...one would have bought the Topre Heaven instead. This post has been edited by CyntrixTech: Jun 4 2013, 07:45 PM |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jun 4 2013, 07:53 PM) I not too sure on what is wrong. I add up the normal length of a row of 15 units, some rows do not make sense??? Tell Rosewill "Copy Poker II, add that aluminium casing, let us sell below RM500...you got yourself a winner"Normally a row is 15x length, but what I see is they make the right shift into 3 keys? If the remaining keys of the row is unchanged, the total length will now be 15.25x???? I can't be too sure from the picture posted, too blurry. BTW, just as you stated, basically following exactly what a Poker 2 is and it is a BINGO. Yes? |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jun 4 2013, 08:04 PM) Around there. But be prepared that a 60% keyboard is still a niche product, so don't expect a high sale. This is the FIRST TIME Rosewill asked me to take less than 100 units themselves. Not because of poor sales expectation but because factory cannot cope with production on the aluminium casing...Our RK9000 and RK9200 comes in few hundred units per order BTW, I think I had found the problem of the existing layout. Seems like the trick they done is not increasing the length of Backspace, |\, enter and so on as what I guessed just now, but they shorten the Left Shift into 2x size instead of normal 2.25x size. Do help identify all the problems. If someone can submit the PCB layout, we can get them to copy almost perfectly. There's little cost having a bunch of holes prepared on the PCB for modding. As long as you are prepared to void the warranty. Poker 2 is the best 60% board by far that targets mass market. Their factory also has problem delivery the quantity... |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jun 4 2013, 08:24 PM) BTW, who gonna OEM the Rosewill 60% board, also Costar? Ok I guess the simplest instruction is to just copy the 60% from costar and add in multimedia keys.I think they can simply copy the layout from their standard RK9000, not? Lastly, a word of advice, since the main selling point of this keyboard is the aluminium shell, so the finish must be appealing (sandblast or anodise?) and the minor details such as the sharp edge, overall height and so on should be more polished. The finishing looks like a macbook pro. |

If anybody wants TOPRE Dye Sub SMOOTH PBT keycaps, you can order through us for USD 95 a set...(ouch). You won't believe that the cap is PBT. Nothing like Ducky/KBT/KBC's PBT Caps.

QUOTE(Human10 @ Jun 4 2013, 08:37 PM) BTW, here is another winning formula for making mini keyboard. Rosewill has a magic wand...the power is more geng than our pixie dust. But I doubt it can be done without increasing the existing cost by a huge margin, so just take it as extra knowlegde. http://www.waishehome.cn/thread-73359-1-1.html |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Jun 4 2013, 08:53 PM) Either Costar screw over the Tex designer, or they paid him a ton of money Same factory. Just without the logo and layout slightly different. The aluminium on the 60% rosewill is not finished. The TEX is brushed then anodized. We want this board looking like a MAC than like the TEX.That Tex logo looks classy btw. ![]() |

QUOTE(rurushu @ Jun 4 2013, 08:58 PM) damn... that price.... it's too tempting!! If you put all the boards side by side, don't need media keys, you will know which to take home. Topre is like MX Brown but with membrane tactile feeling. If you like MX Blue, you won't like this. MX Black cannot compare.now i know where's Kyrmian's tsangan kit goes.... btw, i think that layout, KMAC happy would do the job? Or the previous GH60 also... |

QUOTE(rurushu @ Jun 4 2013, 09:12 PM) Yea, i know, you choose KMAC2 over KMAC Happy, but like I said, you can just satiate your lust for korean custom for now, and prepare for next time.... doesnt need to be in a hurry to get these..... If you actually take a break from all these and come back later, you'd realize how silly you may, or may not, have been else will be like some people from GH, which managed to gather rare stuff like, blazing fast and then.... after awhile, have to sell off everything.... Ask yourself this...back when you were a kid, you'd walk into the toy aisle every time you get into a departmental store. How did you stop that cycle? |
