If this COLA scheme doesnt get involved anywhere near our income tax, It will be fine.

If petrol price hike is one of the reason for COLA, why dont encourage their staff to use public transport instead? Sooner or later some companies definitely will come out with 1001 excuses not to give COLA to their staffs.
