Guys.. what's your average FPS when playing Dota 2 on Y580?

so those AP sets sellers claiming the AP sets has international warranty are just misleading us?  Actually i did input my Y510p's serial number in the Malaysia Lenovo website and it indicate a valid 1 year warranty.  But I dun know what is the actual situation when really need to RMA at local service centre.  Finger cross i never need to RMA it. 

BTW, tested with some games yesterday, BF3 only fine to play in 1680x1050 in single player campaign, Full HD will bring a black blank screen.  For multi-player, after loading into games, straight black blank screen, any reso won't help.  I do see some playing BF3 with it at Youtube though.  I already updated my video driver to the latest.

Test Company of Heroes 2 - can only play in all setting low in FHD.  My Y510p is single GPU only.  Took out the original hard disk and put a Plextor m5s 128 SSD inside and loaded Windows 7.  Will get a hard disk caddy for the original 1tb hard disk and do dual boot. 

The exhaust fan is blowing out hot air while gaming but no very noticeable higher noise.  The left hand palm-rest area is heating up during gaming too.

Ok guys, I need your help for my dilemma. Any opinions/recommendations are greatly appreciated.
I been a Y480 user for almost a year now and I always do love my Y480. Never had much of a problem with it. But lately, an occasional freeze or lagging (though just for a short second) happened now and then. I suspected these occurred due to the HDD (Mine is stock 5400 RPM HDD). So I'm thinking of replacing it with a SSD. And that is where my dilemma begins.

I'm a bit clueless about SSD. All I know is that SSD performs way way better than HDD. I know there are many brands and types? of SSD available on the market. So the question  is which SSD should I get? I'm curious which SSD is the best suited for my Y480. I got many deliberations in choosing the SSD to buy. I will put them in number form so it is easier.

1. Performance over money?
Should I buy the "best of the best" one on the market? Or should I buy the one with the best bang for bucks? Or just anything as long it is a SSD (Cheapest one is good enough?)? Because I'm wondering if it is worth it to buy the best of the best for my Y480 here. I do play a lot of high-end games. Current released games and future anticipated games. And I do a bit of heavy Photoshopping and video rendering now and then.

2. Capacity?
I read an article stating that higher capacity SSD performs much better. My choice is either 128GB or 256GB. 512GB is out of my budget. So I'm wondering if is worth it to get 256GB or perhaps 128GB is enough? I did my calculation and I found that 128GB will just barely be enough for my need (Probably 5GB left of free space). Honestly I'm leaning a bit to 256GB because I like to have a bit more space. But that is just me. If thinking rationally, would having  a massive 50-100GB free space worth it?

Maybe there others factors I should consider but so far this is my main concern. If there are other factors worth considering, please let me know.
tl;dr Need help with choosing the best SSD for my Y480. Plays high-end games. A lot. And heavy Photoshopping and video rendering.

Oh about my budget. Around RM600-RM700 is acceptable. But I'm willing to spend a bit (a lot?) more IF it is really worth to extra cash.

Tried checking the disk for error but no problem reported. It just that I don't think anything else have a problem. My HDD do makes lot of loud whirring sounds constantly. Like it is under lot of strain. Since I really do want to upgrade my Y480 anyway, I thought swapping the HDD for SSD would be the best.

And about the capacity, though I agree more is better, I still had to consider the price of owning a 512GB/960GB. My wallet will fly 

Now I really think I should go for 256GB. I have this huge irritation if my drive is almost full so 128GB probably not good enough haha.  And I can always buy more external HDD to store my movies/anime  if 256GB also not enough But still the question is which SSD to buy? I do a quick survey and I found OCZ Vertex 4 is quite nice. It is in my budget. But then I poke around more, I found Samsung 840 Pro which from what  I read is the best one for 256GB. So should I spend RM100+ more for it? Is it worth it? Or Vertex 4 is good enough? Can my Y480 run 840 Pro at it full extent? Oh does processor or anything else affect the power/speed of SSD? Still clueless    And I still wonder if there anything else for me to upgrade my Y480 beside SSD? Maybe buy a cheaper/est SSD and spend the rest of money on something else to upgrade?
