HI To all Sifu over here, I just bought a new Y500 in midvalley Lenovo store, After these few days of testing, found out got some issue, mind to get some advice over here, wish sifu can give me newbie some idea.

1. Once I bootup the laptop, less than 5 min,  I found out is it quite hot, and the fan is keep running as I can hear quite loudly, so I decide to test the temperature and found out the result as attach, is the temperature is normal

2. Where can I find shop to help me wrap my lcd cover and palm rest cause I found out that the front cover very easy to get scratch

3. how can I create a recovery disc to restore back factory default setting, as I try to use the one recovery found out there is not option to let me create recovery disc

Hi, may I know what brand of memory you are upgrading? Coz what I know from Lenovo forum that Y480 memory slot runs at 1.35v.
The sodimm from Kingston and Corsair both are 1.5v, will there be any problem?

My rig is Y480, which used HM76 as well...
So that means if i want to use my msata as my bootdrive AND Cachedrive, i just install my windows 8 and install expresscache on it ?

HM76 cannot support Intel's SSD caching solution.

ExpressCache however is a solution from Condusiv (A.K.A Diskeeper)

actually i haven bought it yet... but am right now considering mushkin atlas deluxe 120gb which max read write at 500++ MB/s...
i wanna peak my laptop performance by setting up boot and cache buffering into that msata.

Not providing a recovery disc, and not able to create Recovery Disc, is one thing.(at least not that i know of)
and not able to download original ISO online, even if I "BOUGHT" my windows 8 software, I dont own it.

and the change of so many things in windows 8, I would go for win 7 anytime.
asked for it, but got to know this laptop only comes with win8. and no downgrade option available.

and with all the UI changes, it's a step down from windows 7, admit it. at least for laptops / desktop computers, i do not consider it an upgrade.
