betwn what kinda subs will reckon...ive been seen a lot icer use JL subs...somehow i notice there is also a lot imitation outthere.....never listen to JL sub b4....
Planning for a 8" or 10" sub nia...the reason is i dun wana to have so much bass come from behind & somehow to play a good sq the low frequency from sub is very important....can i just go for SVC subs...
i definately will not recommend u guyz 2 get the JL imitation sub.. JL served me well for pop n rock songs. i'm now wif image dynamics.. the bass is even deeper now..
ermm.. seriously, i can't hear the difference between DVC o SVC.. my concept for nice woofer will be the power of the amp.. i blif if i use a powerful amp, i can whack any woofer even if it's a rm200 cap ayam woofer to sound like rm600 branded woofer bcz the power of controlling the sub is there n it release the full potential of de woofer. for me, 8" doesn't reli sounds like a woofer (more like mid to me cz it juz doesn't feels rite) 10-12" will b a better choice no matter if it's for normal listening o audiophile ICErs..
eg: power handling for de woofer is 300W rms; feed it wif a 600W rms..

i'm seeking for advise here. i'm a noob in ICE and only got limited money to spend (1k - 1.5k) for amp + sub. i already got
HU: kenwood MP4033
Component: Soundstream LS 60C
and plan to get another component: Soundstream XSC.6
i need advise on
1. which type of sub shall i get?
2. which type of 4 channel amp shall i get to push these components & sub?
3. shall i get 1x4channel (comp+sub) or 1x4channel (comp) + 1x2channel (sub)
4. what's the difference between LS60C & XSC.6? which to install in front door & which to install in rear door?
i only need amp & sub which suits my existing stuff as i did not plan to upgrade my ICE in next few years. really need some valuable advise. thanks
hope u get some idea from wat i replied above..
q1. a 10" o 12" sub is good (u may wanna considere on ur boot area cz of de woofer enclosure)
q2. if u heading for economy setup, 4 channel is what u shall considere else u can go for 1x2channel (component); 1xmonoblock (woofer depending on de impedance)
q3. aledi answered above
q4. sorry, i'm not into soundstream but u may wanna forget about the rear speakers if u don always haf rear passenger. o u may considere a 6" 2-way spks o 3-way 6x9..
*i'm still learning
