well, i admire klipsch speaker long time ago untill my ex-housemate bought one and ... speechless. klipsch is more to disco kaki, the satelite speaker sounds too bright and sub woofer is too boomy to me, got a feeling of logitech stuff. compared to my sis bf's AL MX5021, i'll love 5021 more than klipsch. AL 5021 stock cable is crappy, after changed the cable, it sounds much more better than klipsch (never tried changing cable on klipsch though). bass of AL5021 is not as powerful and boomy as klipsch, but it sounds more natural and accurate. juz my personal opinion, don't flame me This post has been edited by fx_53_xt: Apr 23 2006, 10:35 PM

QUOTE(sukhoi37 @ Apr 23 2006, 11:01 PM) off topic here fx_53_xt, what crappy cable they give you for the mx5021? and what cable you changed it? how much? where can i find it? the speaker isn't belongs to me. it's my sis's bf so i'm not sure what is the exact model. anyway, he changed the 3.5mm to RCA signal cable from stock to a pretty big one, and changed the satelite speaker cable to dunno what brand OFC cable. and then connected the satelite speaker from his onkyo sound card through an t-amp (http://www.tnt-audio.com/ampli/t-amp_e.html) , without going through sub woofer cuz according to him it's better not to use the integrated amp of subwoofer p/s : both cables is from taiwan and onkyo sound card bought from japan. QUOTE(PcWork @ Apr 24 2006, 02:46 PM) without going through sub woofer? then you have to adjust the satelite volume and the woofer volume saperately? hell no, i won't do that =P the woofer amp and crossover section is anyway THX certified. within that RM 700 price range, i think that is the best you can get, powering it with an Tamp not neccesery will bring much benefits than powering it using intergrated amp. as he is so percise until unhappy with the built in THX amp of altec lansing MX5021, buying the MX 5021 itself is just a big mistake. yup, separately anyway, after test it around, there is really difference using the external amp than the integrated one. external amp sound cleaner than the built in one. anyway, heard from someone THX certification company is no longer owned by LucasArt, therefore the certification no longer stay neutral. anyone can clarify this?
