the jammer can block out the GPS signal around the object.
e.g. someone installed a GPS transceiver in your car, and want to track your location all the times. Then you may use this GPS jammer installed in your car, it will block out the coming and outgoing GPS signal, and you won't be tracked or followed!

if your friendfinder use the common gps signal to track and not via networking access, it should be ok to block the gps signal. we tested it before and some buyers before also left feedback to show its good to function as mentioned.

you may find online or gps shops/ some detection agents may have better suggestion.
