Introduction of a new AK
---------- 【AK KANN, one player to rule them all】 ◆ Strongest driving power ever ← driving big cans with AK is no longer a dream KANN’s build in headphone amp has the strongest driving power compare to other AK’s music player, including the flagship AK380. It’s even comparable with PAF11 (AK3xx amp)! In high gain mode, KANN provides 4Vrms (SE) or 7Vrms (Bal), while AK300 + Amp is 3.85Vrms (SE) or 7.66Vrms (Bal). AK claims that KANN with high gain + balanced mode can drive high impedance headphone easily without external amp. ◆ DSD 256 NATIVE ← only one besides the super expensive AK380 & AK240 The flagship level AK380 & AK240 used to be the only two AKs that support DSD natively, until KANN is landed. This mid range player supports DSD256 natively, same as AK380, and even more advance than AK240 (DSD128) ◆ Dedicated LINE OUT & Phone Out ← including Balance and Single-ended If you need several outputs to connect your HiFi devices, KANN is the one that you need. It has 4 independent outputs, including phone out and line out of 3.5mm SE and 2.5mm Bal. The dedicated line out can provide cleaner and purer signal when connecting with speakers or amps. Music players that has dedicated 2.5mm balance line out are rare. For now, KANN might be the ONLY one. In addition, the output level of line out is adjustable (0.7-2V). ◆ Huge CAPACITY up to 832GB ← too many DSD files? No problem at all Build in 64GB, supports micro-SD card up to 256GB + SD card up to 512GB, Max capacity is 832GB! Oh man, you’re carrying a hard disk on-to-go! Now you can put all of your DSD, WAV, Hi-Res collection together. ◆ Type C USB in-out ← fast charging available Type C USB that supports Dop. It can be connected with PC and used as an USB DAC, or used it as a digital transport to connect with an external DAC (USB audio out). 6.5 hours of playback when charging about 1 hour. 15 hours continuous playback if fully charged. ◆ Others: AK Connect (App for you to stream and control music wirelessly), Bluetooth 4.0 aptX-HD (supports Hi-Res loseless via Bluetooth), 200 femto seconds reference clock (same level with AK380, solve the jitter) |

A&Ultima SP1000
First Impression & Comparison with AK380, WM1Z Compare to the old flagship AK380, SP1000 still remain the "AK" transparency and clarity. It sounds clean but not harsh, the timbre is sweet and musical. Using the latest AKM4497 DAC chips and 8-cores CPUs, the imaging is solid with more weight. AK380 on th other hand has softer and thinner bass. SP1000 doesn’t sound thick but the bass is more punchy, deeper with more layers. Sound stage is way larger, the separation of different instrument are much clearer. The airy and elegant mids and high really impressed me, as it can present the micro details and dynamic of vocal and instrument in “Spanish Harlem”. It has extremely clean sound, amazing details, quiet background, spacious sound stage, but never consider it a cold or digital sound DAP. It is very musical and natural, and you’ll be able to feel the emotion of the music. It’s a strong competitor of Sony NW-WM1Z. The lower mids and bass of WM1Z are richer, fuller and more punchy. You can feel the resonance of Cello wooden sound easily. On the other hand, SP1000 can create an airy, limpid and refined atmosphere. It also sounds more sparkling and agile. The sound stage of WM1Z has better surrounding and more forward. You can feel the ambiance of musical hall and orchestra like standing at the position of conductor. SP1000 is more spacious and slightly backward. You can feel the music in the air is coming from the whole space. |
