FC talks - further Petronas Prrmax 95 testimonial

Those who follow my previous stories, today I have concluded my testing on Primax 95, back to Petron.

1st tank was tested on BLM, as I recall from lhwj commented Primax 95 contributed to LC2K phenomenon FC achievement. I managed to squeeze 12km/litre compare to waifu usually does 9 or 10km/litre.

2nd tank was meant for confirmation. As same as 1st tank of petrol, every bar on the petrol indicator yielded about 70km consistently. However, I only managed to test until 220km and had to return the car to Mrs.YAB. Later she drive until 400km and fuel up another tank of Primax 95. This 2nd tank hybrid my driving and waifu driving yielded 13km/l.

However, the 3rd tank of petrol now running on my BLM solely driven by my waifu these few days. Current trip meter reading is 250km, left 1 bar and fuel warning could start to light up any time soon sad.gif

Judging by the idling time waifu utilized the aircon in the car to change nappy for junior, waiting for daughter finish school in the car, start the car first and let the cabin cool down before drive, all these has added strain to already bad FC doh.gif I however believe that Primax 95 is quite efficient for long distance non stop travelling. Otherwise in city driving, it just doesn't make much difference than other petrol.

Meanwhile, my 1st tank of Primax 95 in Shawie yielded 15km/litre. I was impressed and decided to give it another tank. However, this morning after some 420km driving, finally I had to fuel up and yielded 13.3km/litre. Not really impressive consider I can do the same with Petron Blaze 95. I have decided to switch back to Petron for the Smile points.

Until mid of May, I shall report back another long distance tracking with Primax 95 on BLM. We shall see the difference on this petrol compare to my usual Petron. If it indeed give me more than 15km/litre, I will use Primax 95 for long distance travelling, and continue my Petron on town driving.

True also. So stock to stock, which do you find is better? Persona or Wira?

I find the Waja stock handling to be sub par. If the Wira is given the same wheel sizes, I think it can outperform the Waja. But my Waja days are kinda vague to me now....I only remember how surprised I was to find that my Saga has less bodyroll than Waja sweat.gif

Hello everyone,

Just a quick question. I'm an owner of the 1st batch of saga blm year 2008. Since its nearly 5 years i find the suspension is now alot softer. A friend of mine is selling his flx 1.6 absorbers n springs. Can the flx absorbers n springs fit on the blm?

If not, ive done some research and looks like most ppl recommend sapura absorbers + springs or kayaba absorbers + springs. Any comments for these? I know comfort level is compromised abit for this but I dont mind.

Thanks in advance  biggrin.gif

Just drain your radiator tank, pour the 1.5 bottle of coolant in to your radiator tank, fill it up with water. Start your engine, then continue proceed to add the rest 1/2 bottle into the reservoir tank, fill up half full of water into the reserve tank will do. Choices of liquid can be normal tap water, but they're very active agents such as chlorine, heavy metal in the tap water. Should you sayang the car so damn much, go hyper market buy a 5 liter bottled distill water, buy another extra 1.5litre for the reservoir tank. yawn.gif

As far as I know, premixed coolant does not supply in less than 1 litre form whistling.gif

Do u guy knowing that saga fl has different air cond brand ? My saga fl has some air con problem. Every 5-10 sec it will alternate between cold ir n normal air, following the compressor cut off. I have a viva which aso having compressor cut off all the time but still maintain with cold air.  Ask SC , again they said its normal.

And told me that different saga has different brand. I ask to get refer to air cond sc, they said they don know. Do you guys having such problem ?

Where should i refer to my case ?
*
Shawie, GaGa BLM, FL, FLX all uses same brand same model of aircon cooling system SANDEN, only difference is BLOWER. FL same like Shawie, BLM same like FLX. Price wise, all 4 are the same! The only different brand GaGa is the old 1.3S and 1.5I SAGA/ISWARA from 1986 ~ 2007 having many different brands/aircond setup.

Thermostat auto cut off is very normal. Please get your pollen filter clean, pump your thermostat to MAXIMUM, auto cut off will be reduced to minimal just like any other car. If your GaGa aint auto cut off, the next thing is you'll be frozen in the cabin. So, be thankful it still cut off yawn.gif

Next time if 1st crank aint work, don't turn the key all the way off. Just leave it at "ON", wait for few seconds and recrank again until engine hidup. Usually it takes a little longer sometimes even up to a minute to spark dry the already wet sepak berak. If crank for 5 minutes straight still not hidup, then no need to try anymore cos if that happened definitely technical faulty liao, nothing you can do to crank up the car besides of hoping iTakCare come and tow your car back. yawn.gif

Has nothing to do with CVT. You can start an engine without a transmission mellow.gif

Wet sepak berak is a 1 time glitch and will never be recorded in the log rolleyes.gif Bring your car over, I hook up my display tool. I'll turn your key to ON, jam your gas pedal for 10 seconds before I crank start, see whether your ECU will record that as error code? rolleyes.gif

Got change rim mou? Last time got go outside do alignment put adjustable camber screw mou? If yes, demod everything first then go back screw Plotong get them claim a new rack for you. Your steering rack not fail YET, but failing. Usually when you make full turn as you hit the end will emit loud "TOK" sound. However, now you'll hear "TOK grrrrr" meaning the rack end stopper already start to give way. Soon when the stopper kena rejected out/break, power steering fluid will leak yawn.gif Good luck in getting the rack claims.

Tayar itself got 1 year warranty. Check your tayar age

If within 52 weeks age, you're entitled to warranty, provided the tyre was not abused off it marks

Long time no see, hope ur fortektek get well soon. GaGa has some difference in design compare to Shawie, the door trim panel is looser and more flexible than Shawie. Door open handle situation is slightly forward. There's 5 things u need to take note in DIY rattling sound.
  1. side mirror cover clip
  2. door opener linkage
  3. centre lock actuator cable
  4. power window rack
  5. power window control switch cable

Other than power window rack, the resst can be sumbat sponge to eleminate rattling soun. If indeed all that has been fixed still got rattling sound, the last thing u gonna do is change the rack. If still plobrem, u will have to change door already. Still, if u still find it annoying, ultimate solution is change to another fortektek icon_idea.gif

Juz 2add further...

1. Changing 2lighter rims :
a. How much lighter can rims go?
b. Wat is the cost of changing 2such lighter rims?
c. Wat abt need also 2change tires? Cos only larger diam rims are available.
Wt of larger sized tyres? Friction increase resulting in decrease of minimal FC gains?

Now juz ponder?
With all that xtra expenses, how much xtra fuel wld yu hv been able 2afford 2pay4 with that sum of $$$ 2b spent?

1. Control of right foot.
Wld yu b able 2truly enjoy driving yr Gaga if yu had 2keep on exercising all that ctrl?

IINM there are other makes of cars that wld b able 2give one much better FC than the Gaga...w/o changing rims nor controlling the right foot...

Or am I wrong? rolleyes.gif

My take?
The Gaga is yrs oledi...
Yu shld hv known abt its FC...
Yu cld not hv chosen the Gaga 4its great FC, rite?
Enjoy it... cheers.gif

There are reasons for rims to designed with narrower profile & light weight alloy. For example:

FYI, I did chosen GaGa for FC as ayam seeing lots of 13km/litre around before I proceed to buy the car last year, only problem is can't understand how I get my car so bad FC. But I kinda accepted the fact that different traveling route and road condition might just make my car FC sohigh. Besides, it's not like if ayam driving the car not save fuel, it's wifey kinda stop & wait driving condition does not allow her to maintain better FC profile. Gimme a chance, I really don't mind changing rims/tyres to have better FC in the future.

I'm testing this 1, will write review once I have collected more data. It has been in my Shawie for 2 weeks.

Flood water soaked your engine oil sensor. Oil sensor is designed to trigger by EARTH, therefore if it wet, H²O will ground the sensor and your dashboard gets the wrong signal. I just had this 3 weeks ago, nothing serious yawn.gif
