after done what u said, but still appear in task manager?
did u know how to sign out hotmail? If sign in in mail apps.
*
The app will close.. most apps does not run in background.. surface rt is using arm based proc.. it will pause the open apps when U not focusing to it but U can switch back to the apps anytime without lag..

About the Hotmail account, U need to remove ur account from the mail apps. Mail apps is like outlook, no sign out option.. if U don't want to use it, remove the account.. if U don't want to leave the Hotmail account connected all the time, I suggest U remove the Hotmail account from the mail apps and just use IE to access ur Hotmail account..

Start button is back!

for those who jailed break their RT and still need to use the ported apps, i suggest do not upgrade first.. else you won't be able to jail break anymore as the new 8.1 version has block the jailed break script.. u might want to wait for someone to jail break again before upgrade to 8.1.. once you upgraded to 8.1, there is no way to revert back to ver 8.. unless you able to copy back the ver 8 installation files to your RT..

Just want to make sure, is the surface rt using micro hdmi? I'm going to buy one but I think the one that Microsoft offers is too expansive.
*
it's using micro hdmi.. some of the forumers already bought the 3rd party cheaper cable and it's works.. i think can get less than rm50.. can't remember the exact price..

Thanks for the reply, bro. I will be setting my eyes on the Surface Pro 2 then. I can't find it from Harvey Norman Malaysia though - does anyone know where to purchase one?
*
surface pro 2 is not available in Malaysia market yet.. Microsoft haven't announced the release date so you would not find in any Malaysia store..

What card you using? I plan to buy one but no idea which to choose, was thinking the SanDisk 32GB.
*
Any brand should work. I put my extra 2gb SanDisk micro SD card into my surface rt.. quite small but better put it rather than collecting dust..

Any card will do if you're on a budget or want to keep it simple. If you want to go all out and get the best you can, the SanDisk SDXC Extreme (gold coloured card) is curently the fastest SDXC card in the world. Comes in 16/32/64 sizes, fastest card rating only valid for 32/64 GB versions.
*
I think Samsung has produce a more faster card than SanDisk but it really really expensive..

Do you know that when a PC is in sleep mode, it consumes battery also?
I don't know about Surface Pro since it is PC alike, but Surface RT is a tablet. Not really need to shut down bro.  biggrin.gif
*
Agreed.. no need to shut down for surface rt. Just leave it.. usually I only charge my surface rt once or twice a week..

QUOTE(red streak @ Oct 27 2013, 12:06 PM)
Does anyone here use a matte sp that's anti-fingerprint? I need to find a new one but nobody here sells it. The one I'm using is pretty much the same as the screen itself and it's getting real oily and annoying.
*
I'm not using SP at all.. when it get dirty and too many fingerprint I just clean it with LCD cleaner.. if ur finger are clean, then it's unlikely u will have fingerprint on ur screen even u touch it many times..

aiyo not using. shut down. I even turn off my smart phone when I am sleeping. The only one that is not turn off is the dump phone (alarm clock).

why you want to strain the battery and processor when you are not even using the device? will not kill you to see if there is email waiting for you once you turn on the device.

Remember people, the energy that we are consuming does not come from renewal energy sources such as solar, or hydroelectric. BE GREEN and turn off your devices when not using.
*
That is nice thinking of saving energy. But, the energy saving for not turning off smart phone during sleep is really low. Usually I might drain ur battery up to 5% only.. that only save half of 1 cent.. if PC, than u will get to save a lot.. and yet better to turn off the light u are not using since it's consume energy and produce heat as well..

woah...long time no spam here already 81 pg??

btw anyone heard of the Lumia 2520???reports says that it is faster than the Surface 2

QUOTE(pristine @ Oct 29 2013, 11:44 AM)
Snapdragon 800. Not sure of the performance, but the 2520 looks good.  drool.gif

QUOTE(ZRong223 @ Oct 29 2013, 12:32 PM)
Well, performance is a thing. Price and support is another thing.
*
Performance wise, it should be a lot faster.. but need to compare with the price also to see if it worth it.. for surface, there is no need to get faster CPU if the price too expensive.. and one more thing, more power mean it consume more battery.. wait until the review is out and see if it worth to buy it..

Why can't I find the update in the Store?

If your PC is currently running Windows 8 (or Windows RT) and you want to update to Windows 8.1 (or Windows RT 8.1) in most cases you’ll see this free update prominently featured on the Windows Store home page. If you’ve opened the Store and you don’t see the update, it could be for one of these reasons:

You might need the latest updates from Windows Update
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

You might be running an edition of Windows 8 that doesn’t support updating from the Store
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Windows Store might not be showing the latest content
