QUOTE(pristine @ Aug 6 2013, 07:27 PM) Anyone running windows 8.1 preview on their tablet? I think not much ppl will risk that: QUOTE Can the Windows 8.1 Preview be uninstalled? No. The only way to roll back to your previous installation is to wipe out the installation and replace it with a backup created before you installed the preview. QUOTE(richard912 @ Aug 7 2013, 03:55 PM) TS, you may want to pin this Microsoft Surface Forum link to the first post. Looks awesome from the forum, all discus about surface . Summoning TS Xirality . Edit: The forum from the link looks like inactive, less threads and yet much not being replied at all. Here's better, at least have some users giving feedback. QUOTE(victorian @ Aug 8 2013, 11:02 PM) The only reason for me to get Surface RT, full sized USB port and free Microsoft Office Home and Student but.... Do you really need Microsoft Office on your tablet, I mean most of us will still prefer to do our assignments on a full sized PC or laptop. Well personally I think that included micrsoft office is good, as you not only view files and can also work on it while you are at a place without pc and urgent? And I think this is what ipad/android tablets can't do, correct me if i'm wrong .

QUOTE(marauderz @ Aug 10 2013, 09:46 PM) Surface Pro is a NORMAL WINDOWS 8 NOTEBOOK, something which a lot of people still don't understand. As for the price drop, unfortunately, The only Asian countries that have the discount seems to be HK and China, I guess it's selling too well in Malaysia and Singapore for a discount then? Its an official price drop to worldwide i suppose, now it is retailed at RM1099 for RT in MY. Previously still around RM13XX or higher iinm.

QUOTE(noorimanyosh @ Aug 17 2013, 01:09 AM) 32GB for RM7x??cheapest available??btw the Surface can insert any SD card or need to be specific?? Yea RM7X is cheapest I found so far, Garage Sale price tag is around RM9X if i'm not mistaken. But u can always pm them to see if they offer cheaper or not. From lelong, SD Card + SP to save shipping cost buy from same seller. http://www.lelong.com.my/sandisk-mobile-ul...7-01-Sale-I.htmhttp://www.lelong.com.my/microsoft-surface...7-01-Sale-I.htmQUOTE(pristine @ Aug 17 2013, 01:12 AM) Haha. First I need to learn how to use this, still not used to the interface or Win8. Been on 7 for too long. Any Micro SD can fit, up to Micro SDXC. Max capacity is 64 GB. As for the read/write speed of the device, I'm not too sure yet. Will find out a way to test it with my card and update. That is, if I can get the test done. From previous page, this info is really nice imo. QUOTE

QUOTE(Silverfire @ Aug 29 2013, 10:33 PM) No, you can't. It will only be able to run ARM based .exe apps. Here is a list of programs that developers have ported or recompiled to ARM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2092348But, will jailbreak void the warranty ?

QUOTE(Silverfire @ Aug 29 2013, 11:51 PM) As far as the developers are concerned, it wont void the warranty because it resets every reboots. So you have to apply the "jailbreak" every time you reboot your Surface RT. I see, now getting excited seeing u guys having some fun on RT while waiting mine on hands .

Been surfing around reviews & youtube regarding the RT screen durability. It definitely can't stand for a fall directly on screen. What bothers me is how's the scratch resistance of the screen? Some user feedback said its good and some are saying that it get scratched easily. And most reviews doesn't state/test the screen resistance to scratch. Hope I can get some users' feedback regarding this at here . Thx.

QUOTE(kyu85 @ Sep 3 2013, 06:16 PM) y so bother about scratch? just put a screen protector then the scratch issue is gone... even it is gorilla glass still it can get scratch, so just apply a SP... I guess I'm typical person if seeing some obvious tiny/hairline scratches on it when the screen is turned off . Don't really like SP, as sometimes it just bother me the clean looking of the original screen. QUOTE(Silverfire @ Sep 3 2013, 06:16 PM) Keys all that will not be able to scratch the screen but the thing you have to watch out for is sand. Even the smoothest, slightest grain of sand will scratch your screen like no tomorrow Noted .
