One trick will fix your problem.
First of all, you should check at the APN setting, scroll to the bottom list. You will find the item named "Bearer".
Please choose "Unspecified" . If there's no choice, type "Unspecified" . The problem that it keeps changing to celcom2g is because the telco, CELCOM still not upgrading their network server are using different approach regards to the LTE technology that was designed and implant inside, let say here, the alcatel one touch 2s Pro. So simply put, we need to make it to use unspecified bearer so that the APN is valid to be used. "LTE" can't be used, that's why it keeps changing to "celcom2g" where 2g network does not use "LTE" bearer.

This is related to the WiMAX & LTE technology. But that's another story.


For all alcatel user out there, (2s Pro with 4.1.1 Jelly Bean version a.k.a 4011x), if you want to go to engineering mode, please go to dialup and type *#*#3646633#*#*
Here you can test the touchscreen responsiveness, increase the sound for loudspeaker, for the earphone and much more.

Just got my 4011x last week from Digi booth PC Fair

I wanna ask, is there any custom rom available for this model? and is there any way I can increase the screen responsiveness, as I found it quite hard to type -.-

Try install different keyboard. I found that the Touchpal keyboard is not that responsive.
No, there's no custom rom yet iinm.

Currently I'm using android keyboard, a bit non-responsive but I find it better than the Touchpal. Any other suggestion of better keyboard? newbie here haha sorry.

I skipped Root Checker and it still work.

search for framaroot at xda forum.. it is the easy way to root 4011x..

been root mine since day 1..

tried it before n after flashed to stock rom using Mobile upgrade S 4.0.2
does not work for 2s pro a.k.a 4011x

first time rooting using an apk.
a sccuess. using the 1.6 version
