I somewhat agree with FSG's policy but of course nobody would turn down a chance to sign a top player if we could, the problem is we don't exactly have the appeal for top players anymore. Even if we do have the appeal, we don't have the financial stability to fight with the likes of PSG, Chelsea, MC and Madrid. So, for now we have to resort to buying above average players to better improve the squad until we can be seen as challengers again. As hard it is for any of us to stomach, we have to admit that we've fallen a long way back and it is down to years of poor management in all levels of the club I believe.
Being in denial isn't going to help our cause. We don't have wealthy owners looking for a hobby. Instead we have businessmen looking to profit which naturally indicates they want us back at the top, winning things. If I were a businessman, I'd expand slowly, first ensuring I recoup my investment before deciding how much to reinvest, and on what? This is what they're doing. If I ran a business, I know for darn sure I'd not want to be in massive debt, hoping that my venture takes off. This is why I understand their policy i.e. trim wages, invest in young talent. Comparing ourselves to massive spenders like Man City or Chelsea is only going to be a source of frustration. Both clubs won titles the season before this recent one, and both still recorded massive losses. Do we want this for our club? We almost went into administration once for overspending. I don't want to see this happen again.
I believe the club will spend on talent when it's sensible just like in the case of Suarez. Sturridge and Countinho are both good acquisitions as well.

The majority of the critics here are doing their job. That is to criticize.
If we get the 2nd best goalkeeper in the world, we should have gotten the number 1 goalkeeper in the world. They will never stop because it's in their blood, thanks to their mother or father.
They are incline to do so to fulfill their lust
I said it again people. I trust BR. He knows what he wants now. Perhaps, he made errors with purchases when he first came on (yet to know as who can tell Assaidi, Borini and Allen wont become world class? Unless you have magic crystal ball like Prophetjul).
And that was quickly addressed with 2 fantastic signings. His 2nd half record has been nothing short of spectacular turnaround for us.
But of course for the critics, if we win 1 league title and 4 cups, they will only finally shut up and celebrate. They term themselves as having higher standards.
Doesnt matter. I am happy with the team, and Tom Werner is happy with the team. That is all it matters
You should see me at work. I'm a huge critic when things don't make sense to me and I'm a firm believer in constructive criticism which in turn, requires that we have as much information as possible. In the case of FSG and Liverpool, I can make sense of their reasoning based on all the information I've been exposed to on the internet, hence I opt to support their initiative. If we get the 2nd best goalkeeper in the world, we should have gotten the number 1 goalkeeper in the world. They will never stop because it's in their blood, thanks to their mother or father.
