How about DVI to HDMI? Saw 1 in Harvey Normal from Monster Cable and the price is like RM300++! Crazy... Any other cheaper one and where can i find it?

quick shot only, quality so so nia

for a better one , go Imbi Plaza look for Silicon , on the first floor, 2M cost you 130RM

i got mine at desa home theatre, imbi plaza for 120 ( 2M )...sadly my monitor is not HDCP...

bzbody is selling his on the PS3 sale thread here...maybe can kaw team with him..

slightly off topic. but this HDCP is only a matter for PS3? i want to connect my laptop via DVI - HDMI. so these cables from lowyat is fine?

not many laptops have dvi output,... even fewer have HDCP but otherwise HDCP on tv does not hinder non-HDCP dvi/hdmi from being displayed

i have 5 pcs of generic [HDMI to DVI adaptors] to let go (to be used with dvi cable). Price is RM 50 each. add RM 10 (WM) for post laju.

1 good quality [HDMI to DVI] cable, 2m length, to let go as well at RM 120. add RM 10 (WM) for post laju.

Darn i got mine for RM190 at the Desa Home Theater at LowYat
But 1080p is sure better than 1080i, playing the GT HD really see the different in the background and all those lining.

I'm using the Good quality 'NO Brand" dvi-hdmi cable that i bought from taiwan for my HTPC and it's excellent.

on my recent trip i bought again just in case you guys out there may need this........

hmm... some so called experts on the net was claiming that for digital cables, like HDMI, DVI. You don't need to go for the top of the range like monster and etc, since it's only using digital signal, it wasn't prone to interference like analog, so any cheap cheap cables will do just fine.

hmm i forgot the name of the shop but they have a few branches...
jusco balakong, midvalley, lowyat.

sishh in jusco the fella had some hifi cable worth 50k...

Yes you can. I can see the difference when i tried with Virtua Tennis 3 which supports 1080p, while most other games on Xbox360 is 720p. icon_rolleyes.gif

Try the Home Theatre Calculator at http://www.carltonbale.com/home-theater/ho...ter-calculator/

Download the excel file and you should be able to get an idea of what's the ideal viewing distance.

bcoz the typical viewing distance for a pc monitor and lcdtv is different. For pc monitor one usually sits close to the screen so the difference is obvious. tongue.gif
