iPay88
MOLPay
PayPal

The reason I am asking is I am using Easy Digital Download (EDD) and to have certain plugin installed, need pay some money. Just want to make sure money spend is good smile.gif

Please advise and thank you.

Maybank recently introduced Maybank2u Pay, You may want to check that out too. I've never tried nor sure whether your product would be eligible.

if your targeted market is international then i will suggest paypal.

if local, then ipay88 or molpay (both also good)

You may start off with PayPal first.
MOLPay and iPay88 now inplemented a lot of T&C which hinder and slows down the process of the applications.
The rules are getting strict so you may have a hard time applying for an account.

this is true. it started last year around sept. I was upgrading my existing molpay to add domain, and wow.. so much documents needed to be fill up. according to molpay, reasons for it as government is start to take actions to track the online transactions, and new policies has been imposed to them by bnm.

Consider PayPal (if you expect Credit Card only). Consider WebCash if you want Local Banks involved.

WebCash (Merchants).

- Transaction fee 2% (internet banking)
- Transaction fee 4% (credit card)
- Free registration
- Free setup
- No annual fee
- 7 days settlement (internet banking)
- 14 days settlement (credit card)

Wow...thanks for that. Will check it out. Actually I am using Easy Digital Download (EDD) for Wordpress. As long as WebCash can merge with EDD, I am fine smile.gif

The #1 troublesome thing about applying for online payment gateway now is because of the new ruling set by Bank Negara Malaysia. It involves having to setup a bank account with the relevant bank of the payment gateway company.

There are many players in Malaysia but most of it not integrated with other third party billing software.
Paypal and Payza will be the choice, most of the time.

I don't think it is their fault. Recently Bank Negara acquired full control of MEPS. So that is why there is the change of terms and policies.

I worked for a company which is certified to do FPX MEPS integration, just to let you know.

For blogspot, just put in the code Maybank provides.
I'm more interested to know how to integrate Maybank2u to Opencart with extension.

Are you mean the direct integration? or just display the payment detail on the page?

If direct go Maybank, i will suggest you save your time by just talk with iPay88, i was the one who did the integration with MBB for them, take a lot of time if you are integrate with those big company. as they have lot of T&C you need to compliant and so on.

I just manage to put the Maybank2u Pay to my website with the 3th party extension (CKEditor for Bank Transfer). It look ok for me.

Yes, pro and con on chargeback… this is actually a step to prevent scam. If the transaction is valid you don't need to afraid bout it.

May bank's initiative to support bloggers on the basic payment system is a great move
Online purchase have been getting so popular for people buying from forum / blogsite

thats make my curious is why there's a huge hike in discouraging small business from using local payment gateway.

Support this RM900 hike on local payment thread !! I still do not understand the move why there's a hike to discourage the use of local payment gateway.

Luckily Paypal change to support Malaysia Payment withdrawer few years back

No, i think M2U Pay is still very new in the market and most of their thing is not standardize yet, but I believe in very soon, they will provide such a guide as their target merchant is those SOHO and individual seller

M2U pay is not really a payment gateway. It is a shortcut / widget button for online shop to put at their website. Compare to manual online transfer, the benefits are :

1) Buyer doesn't have to enter the shop Bank Account No. Eliminating paying to wrong account.
2) Online Shop is verified by M2U, but M2U already stated they will not be responsible for any fraud case.
3) Seller will get notification automatically from M2U about the payment. Buyer will have to enter the seller's email for manual online transfer.

user posted image

Why it is not consider a payment gateway

1) Buyer still have to enter the correct payment amount. Payment gateway will automatically display the amount to pay.
2) Buyer still have to enter the order number / description / invoice number. Payment gateway will automatically display the invoice / order no.
3) No integration to online store system, buyer's invoice will not marked paid automatically after the payment. It will still depended on seller manual authorization. Payment gateway is integrated to the online store system, automatically accept the payment and changed the invoice status. Seller doesn't need to verified the payment, as it is already done by the payment gateway.

Maybank has it own payment gateway solution (merchant solution), which is only feasible for large corporation, such as GSC, when you make online payment with M2U at GSC, that's the direct Maybank payment gateway.

i got 1 web using opencart using maybank2upay

its e-ommerce and got approval from Maybank

using opencart, can use bank transfer framework
and paste the html code given by maybank.

easy but still customer need to pay nanually
(click logo, pay and confirm payment)

customer more likely to pay using ipay88 because
it integrated very well but got transaction fees

Maybank2u Pay is just a better version of Money transfer between online Maybank users. or blogshops..

most of these blogshops are individuals rather than registered companies.

However, many people are still not aware of this payment transfer and blogshop owners actually need to explain afresh most of d times.

and most of the time if you give them a choice between yr acc no and your maybank2u pay, buyers will directly log in to transfer payment with your acc details rather than using maybank2u pay.

as some people say, it's kinda like cimb click! ?

the only thing that bothers us is the RM2 +3.9% for Paypal
3.9% is fine (although very high) the RM2 make it almost impossible for user to sell low price items . and if you switch to micropayment , you rate would be 5.5% + RM0.50 , which you pay alot higher if you accepting payment >RM250 for examples

we are also considering Molpay / Ipay for ourself and client

Hi All,

I was surfing around the internet and came across MOLPay's Zero Setup Fee promotion. The package mentions that setup one time setup fee is waved and yearly maintenance fee is waved for the first year.

Anyone have registered this? Need to know the total amount and t&c.

Thanks.

Can take a look at Skrill, PayPal or 2Checkout.
All free setup and no yearly fees, but the transaction % is high though.
