Actually, I received another unit from the same seller, the other unit serial number got problem. When I key in, immediately it tells me the number has been checked many times and would not show me / tell me if it is genuine or not.

And then this other serial number of a second unit that checks out fine but inside the battery is fake. So it goes to show, don't support yoobao anymore. They aren't doing anything to help customers.. so they are also samseng style.

supporting originals is a must. but only if they give the same support back.

Long time never catch up here.  My Note II recently has encountered some SOD, maybe becoz it miss the flashes.    So no choice but to flash to latest Monx V12-r1 from the Omega V11, full wipe.  Apply the external memory swap and Launcher UX 5x6 mod as usual - work perfectly since yesterday night.

seems like china get another new firmware (N7100ZCDMD3).. hmm..its seems to me like china always(most frequently) get latest update

Or their rom is buggy. 

Actually if u notice a trend, china have a rom update every month but same changelist. I suspect they maybe just update some china specific apps on the rom.

hmm.. imo, maybe because most of china resident are using/prefer iphone and since china population at least 2B, they wanted to give them the latest/faster update to show them that Samsung does care/value for their customer.

its just my wild guess.. lol
talking bout buggy, i recently flashed s advance's jb, region china. although able to boot it but baseband unknown. i wonder why.. but flashed indo version no problem... hmm..

lol.. if really just updating those apps, i muz compliment them for their hardwork...lol

I have not really been active as much as I would like in this thread, but I have some questions to ask with regards to Mobile Odin.

Let's say that after updating my firmware with PC Odin, I then rooted my phone using Chainfire's Auto Root. As a result, I will be left with stock recovery. I read Uncle Benny's posts about overcoming this disadvantage of having stock recovery by making use of Mobile Odin to flash the TWRP img.tar file.

My questions are, are you only limited to flashing TWRP with the img.tar file, or can you still install TWRP if you downloaded the .zip file?

I know in Mobile Odin, there are 2 'options' to open the file. 'OTA/Update ZIP' and 'Open File'. Based on common sense (hahaha), the img.tar file needs to be opened using the 'Open File' option, while the .zip file needs to be opened using the 'OTA/Update ZIP' option. What I did for mine is that I chose the 'OTA/Update ZIP' option and chose the TWRP zip file that I downloaded, and install from there.

It works, but I noticed my Mobile Odin will be 'gone' after the phone reboots. By gone, it means that it's not showing as 'Mobile Odin' in my applications drawer, but it is showing as 'eu.chainfire.somethingsomething' with a green Android icon hahaha. This is usually no issue for me, since I'll just restore my Mobile Odin via Titanium Backup.

However, to set my mind at ease, I need to ask about the 'Everroot' section inside Mobile Odin. If you are only installing a .zip file like this TWRP, do you tick all 3 options under 'Everroot'?

Based on Dr Ketan's guide, you do not have to choose 'Inject Mobile Odin', so I am wondering if there are implications in selecting all 3 choices under Everroot, or leaving the last option (Inject Mobile Odin) unchecked?

kindly wanna ask,my phone is placed in a magnetic cover,however,if im using the s pen,it wont work on the surface that has the magnetic part of it,

so my question is,does the magnetic cover affect my screen in a long term use of it?

samsung offers flip cases with the nfc,

there's no nfc chip in similiar but not original case right??

will it fit well to the phone?
