QUOTE(raymondtong94 @ May 26 2013, 02:11 AM) yes. you just need the upgrade kit and flash your BIOS with the graphics card that you are upgrading to. Okay, this may seem like a very dumb question too, but can I upgrade the CPU and is it worth it?+1 joined the family, joshuachew And where may I buy the GPU and the CPU from if I am able to replace it? Sorry for the silly questions but I don't game on my laptop at all, I use it for audio purposes but the reason why I want to upgrade it it that I might wanna start playing some games on it soon. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ May 26 2013, 08:31 PM) No point getting Alienware when Illegear able to deliver a better service while in cheaper package But the Alienware on the Illigear website, where do they get it from and how does it work? Because the sepcs that they offer for the M17 is not even available as an option on the Alienware US website, such as the Intel Extreme Processors and the GTX680 4GB.RS-15 or RX-17, depending on budget. |

QUOTE(jiejian @ May 27 2013, 04:51 PM) heard some ''broken noise'' from my speaker, especially when im watching youtube, dont know how to describe it better, from my m14x's speaker. Definitely. You should contact them if you have ANY problems with your unit. You're entitled to it and its free. The earlier they get your report the better.will removing the battery cause this? cos ive recently removed the battery from my m14x. had anyone have issues with their m14x's speaker? should i contact dell for warranty? |

Does anyone know if Alienware Malaysia is no longer going to carry the M17x?
Or it's just down from their site temporarily? |

QUOTE(mansooriqbal @ May 30 2013, 02:21 PM) r4 highest specs. I download normal movies and play in the stereoscopic player. 3D works proper but lags bit. Then there should be no reason for you lag. Are you retrieving the media it form an SSD? But that shouldn't make a difference though. Maybe try buying a 3D BluRay and see if it still lags. Just a bump and rep for Illigear. The owner and another one of his guys came over today to close some sales.
Super pleasant seller, and delivered on the time as promised. ![]() |

There are 3 models there, anyone know the dimensions? Is the M18 discontinued?
![]() And the picture of the M17 here looks awfully alot like a dell. Which sucks. And if it remotely looks like one of Dells laptops, I'll be looking elsewhere for my next machine. And what is the difference with the display now and an IPS display? This post has been edited by joshuachew: Jun 1 2013, 10:53 PM |

Can the Alienware M17x R4/3 run on SLI with dual graphic crads?
Cause I was just looking at other 17 inch laptops that can. So I am wondering if it can be done on a M17 This post has been edited by joshuachew: Jun 6 2013, 08:57 PM |
