alot of the condo is still vacant and plenty waiting to sell. expensive to rent. as many say for own staying. some condo prices is even more expensive than klcc/golden triangle area.

when the nearby condo have completed even worst, like atria,uptown etc alot coming up and for rent or vacant

for investment buyers,  percentage is low, no point investing when the price is near the top and return is low. unless for own stay

inflation rate is increasing whereby eg ss2 soya bean van seller at road side have increase 10% ahead of the GST increase of 6%. and many more outlet have already increase

if electric/water/ other utilities/ petrol/ food/education/medical etc increase, it will definately have impact

get a feel of the heavy burden on yr shoulders, will eventually know how it is, whereas people tell wont listen or half heartedly, normally people learn the hard way. what people want we also want right

hope it can sustain/maintain, else...

burgerlab the food is consider expensive. how often/always can people eat at that price. the food is so so not that great n be immune in time to come. for ss2 area majority is old people staying there n will not always eat fast food and very thrifty in their spending.

but no harm can try. just look at macd promo price is so cheap daily for lunch dinner at rm6.30 per set the cheapest. competition is there.

in ss2 area in order to do business have to be cheap first and big in portion and tasty. just survey murni daily and their prices. why is it always pack with people. can people follow the way it operates? no bcos alot want to sell high price/ profit

alot of competitors in ss2. in order to compete and stay long, the business or backup power must be real strong else waste of time and money. rental is high and overhead etc

SS2 to get new morning market complex and food court facelift.

PETALING Jaya’s SS2 business district is due to get a make-over with a new food court and a morning market complex being built.

This was revealed during the official launch of the new roof for the Jalan SS2/60 basketball court, which was upgraded by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) late last year.

Former MBPJ councillor for SS2, Tony Cheong, said there were other projects in the pipeline for the SS2 business district.

“In the MBPJ budget approved last year, funds were allocated to build a proper morning market complex,” he said.

This development will see the famous SS2 night food court being integrated with the morning market, as well as rooftop parking facilities and integrated waste collection.

In the last budget meeting before the councillors’ terms lapsed, Cheong said the allocation for the morning market complex was around RM5mil.

The row of hawker stalls across the Sea Park police station will be rebuilt at an estimated cost of RM300,000.

An additional toilet will be built at the intersection of Jalan SS2/61 and Jalan SS2/60, equipped with a diaper-changing room for mothers with infants.

“The council, I was told, will also ensure free state-provided WiFi service, similar to coverage at the SS2 night food court.” said Cheong.

Damansara Utama assemblyman Yeo Bee Yin, who was also present at the launch, said the upgrading of the basketball court was the first of several such improvements in the SS2 area.
