Hi all, I'm about to travel in end of sept, just booked my tix very recently.

Currently hunting for hotels, my only must criteria is for 3 person, triple bed or any double room that can allow me to add a bed at a reasonable price. 3 or 4 stars hotel near to city town centre. my budget is about RM400 per night for all these... given my criteria above, can you give me any recommendation please?

Thank you!

prince marco polo should be suitable for u . because their double bed  bedsize is near to queen.

wah bro, this is a bit too expensive, all in for 3 beds is about 600++ per night, which is way out of my budget already. thanks for your recommendation, but got some other slightly cheaper recommendation please?

tsim sha jui, mong kok, or even causeway bay side also ok for me 1. still considering.

I stayed in madera hotel in Jordan. It's just two mins walk to Jordan mtr. Around 15 mins walk to yau ma tei, temple street. I remember I booked it for rm360 per nite during last September 2012.

They even have a nice bar which can overlook the harbor for symphony of light.

Disadvantage is at nite it rather quiet but its still safer than any streets in kl/pj.
*
I think Jordan is ok too... with all the descriptions given are pretty Okay... but no luck, I just checked the price on Agoda, the cheapest room for 2 is RM620 per night, very pricey yo! hahah....

I think 3 stars hotels are my only choice given my tight budget...

why you need added extra bed at those room ? they have two single bed available and their bed size is near to queen which is 1 bed can sleep two person. and per night only RM400 my price .  brows.gif
*
hmmm, sure ar? only this prince marco polo single bed is as big as queen size? hmmm.... if so, then I can give a serious consideration about it.... if around RM400 per night, then it is very ok for this... 3 of us also not big sized. so sure ok to squeeze onto the queen size alike bed...

say, if I have 3 adults, will they force us getting an additional bed 1 ar? if no, then good... if yes, then it would be very pricey....

I mean, we don't mind sleeping in a room that is supposedly for 2 for 3 person.

Oh. Yeah
But I didn't book thru agoda. Try their hotel website itself. I book thru there. Sometimes they have promo like stay 4 nights for 3nites price.
*
hmmm, okay, I will shortlist a few then try their website directly... i need a good package for 5 nights for 3 person...

can I have a general question please? would majority of the hotels in hong kong force me to take additional bed if we have 3 person trying to squeeze for a room for 2?

thanks!

I just got back from HK yesterday. Royal Plaza Mongkok their double double room (two queen size bed) is nice and comes with free wifi, only downside quite a distance walk to MRT Price Edward.
*
double double room? as in for 4 person? or supposedly for 2? but we can squeeze more ppl in ourselves? when you say its quite a distance means how far walk? 800m with 10 minutes walking distance or so?

thanks.

I'll be heading over to HKG this coming Thursday.  Any idea what's the weather like? I've been monitoring online but I just thought it would be great to have comments from people over there.  Basically what i'm worried of is the thunderstorms that will really wreck any ground movement plans I've made.

hi there, do you mind to share your itinerary with me please? I mean, can I have it for reference please? you may pm me, if please? =)

can anyone please share your detailed itinerary please? we can use it for easy reference and future planning.

I'm making one now, and intend to share after I got a real test with my itinerary and also refinements (if any).

Hi guys, I'm due to travel at the end of this month in a group of 4. What is the best way to get to town from the airport? I'm staying in tsim sha zhui area. In your opinion, should I take taxi or? Hmm. Thanks for your advise.

Not sure if I can just take a taxi there. cos some say taking taxi in 4 could be cheaper than taking MRT hmmm... anyway, thanks. I will check bit first before asking.
But I think the 2 to around Canton Road is suitable for me.

The typhoon may have left by next week but the crowd shall be at its maximum next week wor. China national day 1/10 - 3/10 . Hope you don't regret being there during their public holidays  tongue.gif

To check the weather you can DL their weather apps on your phone. Very useful. They have 7-day forecast. Hong Kong Observatory. Or go to their website.

Will be going Hong Kong on oct 10. Just a quick one, from airport to mong kok, which option should i opt for? Im travelling in a group of 4, would itbe cheaper if i :

1) Take taxi and shared by 4
2) Buy 3 days unlimited travel + airport transfer but burn the return tix to airport since we only will be back after the 6th day.
3) Shuttle bus

Advice?
*
QUOTE(kming @ May 28 2013, 10:29 PM)
For option 2, you will not burn the return tix to airport. You still can use it on 6th day for airport express. The three days unlimited on mrt will end after 3 days from your first usage. If you still want to use it for day 4/5/6, you may reload day pass or just normal reload. Keep the ticket for airport express on 6th day.
*
I'm sorry for quoting the old posts, but I just read this.

I'll be traveling in a group of 4 too.

if I'm not wrong, it is $160 per pax, am I right? so this 160 includes the to and flo to airport as well as 3 days of unlimited mrt usage?

Include to and fro on the Airport Express and any 3 consecutive days of unlimited travel on the MTR.

another option
if group of 4 only for airport express is $220 to kowloon,$250 to hongkong

the $220 and $250 is per pax or for the group of 4 leh? it didn't really state it clearly also =.= i assume it's $250 or 220 for 4 person.
