QUOTE(Human Nature @ Apr 23 2013, 10:04 AM) There was one grown up who kept extending his arm to touch the miniatures and water during the small small world ride despite being warned over the loudspeaker. Finally they stopped the boat and the staff had to come out from one of the miniature theme area and warned him. What an idiot ROFL~ i find those miniature creepy le~ hahahaa But still better than Winnie the Pooh ride!~ ROFL. Oh ya there is one occasion might get slightly slightly wet is the Donald Duck 4D show.. |

Well,
Hongkies are real straight forward ppl. They wanna taruh you means taruh don't care who you are. Tourist local or svip. So sometimes I quite offended by this attitude. Mainlanders... On one single occassion I got shocked twice. I went smoke beside a rubbish bin outside of citygate. This china lady just come over and vomit at side of the bin. I quickly walk away. Same place hours late, my smoke break. I saw woman bring her kid to shit outside the freaking walk way towards the mtr station. Anyone that been there would know there are so many ppl walking around there. Really speechless. |

QUOTE(avanpiper @ May 1 2013, 09:55 AM) Funny how we never really encountered these problems though. But as comparison, mainland chinese are worse. We traveled first to South China (forgot the name of the place) and then only to HK-macau. On the first night itself in china, I encountered people spitting right next to you when we ate on the streets, and that was a shocker for me and family. And we had several experiences of our driver scolding another driver on the highway when the other car nearly bumped ours. Our driver was super pissed and even threw a bottle at that car and cursed him Hahhaha. It's better than kl. Only designated open air can smoke. Can't smoke while walk, this was what I been told. But in HK, it's better, however the only problem I had was almost everybody, and everywhere I go in the streets of HK, everyone seems to be smoking. I felt suffocated there. Other than that, food-wise was pretty good and Macau although nothing but casinos, it's just very peaceful and quiet. So therefore in smoking area, the bin will be full of buds and a few times I saw its actually heavy smoke coming out like its starting to catch fire. |

QUOTE(rjb123 @ May 1 2013, 02:09 PM) Can't smoke whilst walk in HK? Izzit.. I was told by a fren. So I just obey. Everyone does this .. According to google : But I know they have high fines for throwing the butt on the floor ($5000 HKD if I remember correctly ...) Anyway it's very dangerous as so many people on the street and you might accidentally hurt someone. A few times I saw ppl just smoke while walking and their ciggie almost kena me. |

No need festive seasons, if u go to those high rated eateries, their queue is also insane.
Dahla, they got limited land and shops are usually very small. I have seen eateries that only have 4 tables |

QUOTE(tehoice @ May 29 2013, 09:45 PM) Hi all, I'm about to travel in end of sept, just booked my tix very recently. I stayed in madera hotel in Jordan. It's just two mins walk to Jordan mtr. Around 15 mins walk to yau ma tei, temple street. I remember I booked it for rm360 per nite during last September 2012.Currently hunting for hotels, my only must criteria is for 3 person, triple bed or any double room that can allow me to add a bed at a reasonable price. 3 or 4 stars hotel near to city town centre. my budget is about RM400 per night for all these... given my criteria above, can you give me any recommendation please? Thank you! They even have a nice bar which can overlook the harbor for symphony of light. Disadvantage is at nite it rather quiet but its still safer than any streets in kl/pj. |

QUOTE(tehoice @ May 29 2013, 11:10 PM) I think Jordan is ok too... with all the descriptions given are pretty Okay... but no luck, I just checked the price on Agoda, the cheapest room for 2 is RM620 per night, very pricey yo! hahah.... Oh. YeahI think 3 stars hotels are my only choice given my tight budget... But I didn't book thru agoda. Try their hotel website itself. I book thru there. Sometimes they have promo like stay 4 nights for 3nites price. |

QUOTE(Mollai @ Jun 10 2013, 01:39 PM) For me it's definitely Kam wah polo bun 3:15pm fresh from oven. Australian dairy co scramble eggs If your tummy is not sensitive type, can consider street sweeping in dundas street. I find hk food is really normal as well. Really nth worth recommending. Perhaps I need more time to slowly explore those not so touristy foodie. |

QUOTE(wyen @ Jun 13 2013, 08:44 PM) Seriously I prefer Hong Kong food more than malaysian food. Last time I came back from HK I lost appetite towards the food here for 1week cos the food here can't be compared to hk's. I'm willing to go HK very year just for food. That's what I've been doing now going for food hunting in HK coming nov. my first trip to HK was last sep 1 week?!? That's serious wei,What heavenly food u had in hk? Recommend some for my future 4th trip to hk. |

True enough. But on portion wise, I think it's more or less same like Msia.
But definitely, I will have to say bread and pastry like tarts and polo bun is nice. I just randomly buy an egg tart, it's still nice compared here. Tong Sui is more authentic. |

QUOTE(garytey @ Jun 18 2013, 10:41 AM) anyone stayed casa hotel Nathan Road, Yau Ma Tei before? how's the location there? recommended to stay? looking to book a 5 days 4 night standard double room i didn't personally stay but pass by a few times. I stayed in Jordan. Just upper ahead of YMT. YMT is very lively during night time because behind of Casa Hotel is the Temple Street. The MTR station is just 2 mins away, its very convenient. I think Msians will be ok with the room side. |

QUOTE(JooSeng @ Jun 18 2013, 11:31 AM) IMO, central is the hub for alot of transit. its convenient in a sense that you can change to different lines easily. But i find it more to high class people. Never really goto Sheung Wan. |
