For Octopus card, the initial value is $100 + $50 (deposit), so the displayed amount will be $150 and not just $100, correct?

oh okay thanks, so if my estimated usage is $123, i will have to pay $150 + $50 (deposit)
*
IINM you can use up to $150 for $100 + $50 (deposit), but of course you can't get back your deposit after that as it need min $50.

If you want to get back, then just use the second method you proposed and also for peace of mind

I went to Ocean Park on a Monday & Disney on a Tuesday last week. Both are packed with hordes of people. Ocean Park better in terms of more variety and space to breath. But remember to bring lots of water bottles, I went pokkai spending close to HKD100/- on mineral waters alone as it cost HKD20/- bucks for a 700ml bottle of water.

can actually bring in own water bottles, there's even a refill water station la (near to toilets). Should have only bought 1 and refill if didn't bring water bottle.

Any experienced HK traveler could advise me on my trip?
For 5days 4nights.

I'm staying in Tsi Sha Tsui
Reach HK at 7th June Friday (8pm after check-in)

Planned to go to the peak first then down to LKW and then take taxi back to hotel.

afterwards I'm not really sure..

But sneaker street, temple street, victoria harbor is a must go place and also ocean park..

I wonder weekend ocean park or weekday better? If week day I'll be going on Monday.. Any recommendation?
*
8pm after check in then go up peak seems very rush. Maybe you can walk around TST then after that.

If you can make it 8pm at harbor got the symphony of lights.

Any themepark I advice better go weekdays, even though still a lot of ppl but that is mostly from China mainland.

How about G2000? Or other branded shop like lacoste, fred perry, RL that in malaysia the price is super duper expensive but maybe in HK it's cheaper .. LOL ..
*
G2K and Esprit is cheap there as it is HK brand. RL is cheap at citygate but off season stocks (don't really care about it since design is almost similar)

Lacoste and Fred Perry not sure as I didn't check it out

So, what is the appropriate time for me to return to Hong Kong?. Is 5 hours too short to visit those 3 places?

Thanks
*
it's doable but very rush la. If your purpose is just go St Paul ruins take pic, and skip all the things to see on the way up, then there 1 hr is sufficient.

After that take bus to COD, which nothing much to see if you not gambling. Got half nude mermaid (virtual) greets you only.

Walk over to Venetian to eat and don't forget try out Lord's Stow eggtart. 5 hours should can de.

But you pay about HKD200 for both ways ferry ticket and so rush don't think it's worth it. Might as well just stay in HK.

How's your experience with HK Disneyland? Very extreme ( I mean the rides etc drool.gif ) ?

Going there next week but not sure if it's worth to go there or not as most likely we'll spend one whole day over there. Time is limited  hmm.gif

If prefer extreme rides should go for Ocean Park instead

Any hotel/motel/guest house near airport (budget is maybe RM400 max per night since I only need to crash the night and shop at citygate)? Thanks.

Managed to sneak into the Venetion Casino and other casinos though underage at Macau brows.gif

If not mistaken, the legal age to go in Macau casino is only 18 years old, not 21
