It is Samsung design issue lo, I now all times on my Whatsapp, Viber, Facebook, Wechat, Kakaotalk, and finally can use my favour browser - chrome without any issue in my Sony Xperia Z, no single slow down and no need restart phone for maintain stability and smoothness.

After using others brand Android smartphone, I just realise how bad Samsung did in stability, smoothness, optimization in android compare with others.

S III mini for you already smooth is proof you had no idea what is call butterly smooth. This mini version is like 2 years ago middle range phone where no smooth can be talk about.

Another proof you are damn blind! Which part I said using Chrome will hang the phone? I never said also.

S II - G version is hanging king, this is well known.

S III - international edition cannot smooth when pinch to zoom at launcher and widget part. Open the common phone take some times, it even slower than S II. The stock weather widget will refresh after you run some heavy apps, example chrome. (If you use before Note II, then you will know no waiting time open phone, no weather widget refresh issue like S III.

S 4 -  First  initial release ROM i lagging, more use more lag, only restart can solved it, new ROM people said solved the lag issue, but now everyone complain on opening camera restart the phone.

And lastly Nexus 10 by Samsung, hanging issues is well known, until now it still never solved, don't care is stock or any custom ROM, it still can hang especially when using Google Chrome.

You didn't quota me last few answer, but obvious your answer related. Stop deny you didn't read proper and make assumptions.

See, if I root my phone? Did you ever know root won't affect performance. 

Because you never seen others phone react, you had no idea what a smooth phone can be.

If talk on normal user, stability is important, normal user cannot wait for next update as a lot not even know what is update. S II-G and S4 had no stability.

Also a lot iPhone user after use S II or S III or even Note II, they return, because they can't find the smoothness or stability.

One my iPhone friend even said Samsung really spoilt the image of Android as they let a lot people's though they is no smoothness and stability in android, he use Note II also cannot accept the overall performance. He is surprise and satisfied after test out HTC one at Shop and also my Xperia Z. This two model make him change view of Android. He also test out S4, his complaint on S4 even worst than what I had write before.

Ya, the only thing I gonna complain in Z is shall be better viewing angle and better camera output.

My S4 is excellent - till today NOT a single reboot issue . I find it much smoother than HTC One (( it is slight jerky especially blinkfeeds) but loses out to Xperia Z. Your standard of smoothness is definitely different from mine probably as I remember you did mentioned you are very particular on this.
I also , like you have use a wide variety of phones and honestly I cannot yet say which is the best phone as each has its pro n cons
As long as my needs are met I am willing to accept whatever cons it has

No la, I shoot gao gao is my style, I never care on how Samsung or any brand sales, it just my truly impression on how I feel on a phone. I am sure Note III is equally same bloatware as S4 or even more, as long Note III with 3GB RAM it will be trouble free. Samsung did is too push to limit, so Samsung need more RAM than others brand to maintain it smoothness and stability.

do u use GCC to check the s3 charging current? it gives u 2100ma then? or 1000 max? how about battery life? maybe battery drain faster then 1A charger? people said that for s3 1% drop per hour is normal during standby..

Opening apps is comparatively faster than Note 2. Only certain apps returning to homescreen it lags obviously vs Note2
But all these lag behaviour I can accept. I am not so extreme as you-lah to assess all these stuffs.
I read your description of all your frames /animation stuffs - it doesn't bother me at all. To me is totally unimportant. The micro second difference does not affect me lah.

Sorry I disagree, my department (Government Agency) have purchase quite a number of S3 (25 of them) and Note 2 (25 of them) for agency and related officer usage.

As of 13/5/2013 none of them having issue and been send back for RMA. How does I know? it need to go through my section first before send to RMA else Samsung Service Centre will ignore their request.
