Wow, your situation is very very identical to me O.o

Only difference is you are 10 years and I am 2 years in IT. Yeah, future dim, salary consider alot but insufficient, stressful boring job, tired to follow up on those technical matters...

I am already seeking to venturing into other field. I am especially interested in agriculture. In fact, I am only thinking about planting vegetable now. Yesterday I went to see an agri land to let, wanting to set up my farm but then I coundn't agree on what landlord want so the deal is likely a nono, also mainly becoz i dont have sufficient capital to get everything I need(damn clear land only also need 10k @#$%).

Yeah, this is the biggest question from my mind, I was thinking about I might get something from the gov websites but haha, all broken links and emails, otherwise like sending email to hell = no replies. So forget about gov, at least forget about their websites vmad.gif .

Goverment is encouraging youth to venture into agri sector but I really not sure how do they encourage. Or do they simply talk talk for fun. As I hardly find any helps.

If you want to venture into agriculture, you need the following:

- A land, obviously.
- Cost to prepare the land, like clear the land, turn the soil, etc. Dont expect a land is as flat as a football field, it maybe a jungle, grassland, full of mosquitoes or leech etc.
- Cost of irrigation system.
- Decide what you want to plant and cost of planting material, eg seed, fertiliser, pesticide, herbicide... and pick your suppliers.
- Cost of your equipment, eg tractor, farm fork, chemical spray...
- Manpower - somebody gotta take care the land or do the harvest job.
- Finally, where you wanna sell your products. Factory? Middleman? Pasar tani?

And finally, you go thru everything above and receive fruits of your hardwork! I heard that a 3 acres chilli farm can bring in 100s of thousands of income(per season)! Easily beat any general manager or CEO.
