QUOTE(Lego_Jason @ Apr 29 2013, 10:46 PM)
The Red Cargo Train is not so common and it is priced much higher than 7938 and 7939, maybe that's why it is not so popular and Lego decided to chop it. Looking back now, the months leading up to its retirement prices has come down by 30+%. If only I knew it was going EOL I would have ordered more! cry.gif

Choo choo fans may want to keep in mind that 3677 was released in 2011 while both 7938 and 7939 were released a year earlier in 2010. My bet is 7938 will be the next train set heading for retirement, another indicator of this is Amazon UK slashing prices on this set. I have mentioned many times before, IMHO 7938 is the cheapest way to get hold of Power Functions components. If you plan on adding power functions to your Maersk, Emerald Night or Horizon Express then I suggest you buy two sets of 7938: Transfer the Power Functions to another train and then combine two sets of 7938 to make a longer train! wink.gif So take advantage of the Amazon offer(s) before its over!

I have until December to save up for my B-Wing... I was reading up on the UCS Millennium Falcon early this year and it seemed back then there were no takers for the set and retailers have loads of them. Right before going EOL retailers slashed prices and some guys were lucky enough to pick up a few at a bargain. Look at the prices now! The B-Wing will definitely not generate that sort of interests like the MF but I personally like it very much as a display piece.
Ah! Lovely set, I have it too. The cheapest seller for this set in BL is located in France (BL store name: Chiwal's Shop), have you tried asking this seller for a shipping quote? I think shipping from Europe for this set can be around 20 Euros depending on which country. Actually the shipping charges from USA that you quoted earlier was also not bad given the size of this set, downside is USA is very far and shipping will take longer if it's not priority.
Me no big crazy Star Wars fan either but iconic pieces like this I like!! lol! nod.gif

Thanks for the info notworthy.gif will consider this if I'm afford to own emerald night

QUOTE(hades4eve @ Apr 30 2013, 02:18 PM)
Well, most of the time actually is cheaper from US because maybe its near to their source, that is what I think. and the the shipping that cost and hike up the price eventually.

In Asia, I encounter supplier that ship FREE (or maybe they already calculate the cost of shipping) and yet still cheaper than buying in Msia.

Either way, you have to becareful as not all the suppliers are honest as they may overcharge the shipping fee for profit purpose. Therefore whenever you tried to ship something, make sure you agak-agak- calculate whether is the shipping "make sense" or not. Impossible you gonna ship a box that is smaller than 9495 with USD $60... that is ridiculous.... I do sometimes catch some of the suppliers by notifying them overcharge on shipping, most willing to calculate the "correct" fee but some is rather nasty and cancel transactions. Nothing can be done.

So far I have yet buy anything from Middle East (hope not find a Glow-in-Dark-Ghost coated with Uranium) or from New Zealand... unknown to be for those country...

My major supply came from HK, Korea, Jap, Aus, Msia, US, UK, and Europe site...
The main reason why I'm so into Emerald Night is because I like things that is vintage / traditional (not sure if that is the suitable expression). I always hope my ex to dressed up in those vintage feel kind of clothing.. but I never force her tongue.gif I like vintage stuff... and I'm planning to get some vintage set from Amcorp this weekend perhaps? I saw something that I love when I still own the set (until my mum clear all my toy away)

Sad to say....

Did not buy anything from oversea through postage before and I'm always thought that US is more expensive than Asia since US is further than Asia...
Looks like I'm wrong about this...

Ok, at least I have two votes to work on. Ideally we can get 6 peeps to join this order then we can optimise the shipping, the seller says can fit 6 sets in one box. Alternatively, the seller also has a few sets of 8043 Motorised Excavator, I can't remember who here was hunting for it though.... The price should be around RM900 I think... (just a guess) So another possible combo is 3-4 sets of Maersk + 1-2 sets of 8043 should keep the price within range...

And some developments on 10194 Emerald Night, found 3 sets with a different seller asking for 200 Euros each (including shipping). I may take one set, so two up for grabs! Import tax and Misc charges not included...

So these are the numbers for those who are interested to chew on.... If you think it's a go then I will move this to my bulk order thread to create a name list and take it to the next level with the sellers. Cheers! smile.gif

200 Euros shocking.gif it's about RM800++ is it...?

Yup! Bear in mind it does not include other charges, just the cost of the set + shipping... Tax will be 10% while the misc charges will be around RM80 for the entire order...

Most probably around RM900+, if RM1100 will mean I make a healthy profit from it! whistling.gif  So that's the estimate price lor... Final cost will only be known once cleared from customs, no profit element involved, not even credit points! Lol!

Two sets already spoken for so only one set left... Save me the trouble to post this in sales thread. Lol!
Thanks for sharing!! My 10240 UCS X-Wing  already landed at KLIA! Yay! thumbup.gif  rclxms.gif
