Regarding that prototype Lumia 920 with Windows Phone 8.1 in it:

"When Microsoft saw the leak, they went on the offensive to purchase the phone back. Reddit user Chinaman28, who had purchased the phone, received his money back for the purchase from the Redmond based software giant, along with a new Nokia Lumia 920.

As it turns out, Chinaman28 must have known that the model of the Nokia Lumia 920 in his possession should not have been sold in the first place as it had the letters "MSFT" laser etched into the back of the phone. That happens to be Microsoft's NASDAQ stock symbol. In addition, when booted up the phone, the words "Not for re-sale" popped up in red.

The bad news is that the version of Windows Phone Blue seen on the handset was only an early model and the notification center has since been removed from later versions of Windows Phone Blue. There is no word on whether the weekly calendar view or the ability to close down apps from the multitasking view have survived to the latest iteration of the OS."

sometimes I see why they remove it. ITS AN APPLICATION! shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif

notification center is not supposed to be AN APP! and isn't deserve to be listed as application its a part of the system. we use the noty a lot i don't see that as just a stupid apps, we want to see the noty be implemented within the system itself preferably by swiping or long press or whatever it is! sweat.gif sweat.gif

I would prefer they integrate it in people hub, and make people hub accessible by a swype to the right (but must be done by placing your finger near the left side of the screen while swiping, so that when u are using an app that uses the swype gestures, u can still open the notification center which is a part of people hub without exiting to the home screen).

do you mean some sort like Blackberry 10's approach for notifications?
It is quite good I think as it is accessible from any apps running in the phone.

The same applies to android? U can be using any app and still pull down the notifications from the top hmm.gif Or it doesnt work that way? I havent used android on phones for some time already since 2.3 Gingerbread, although i do have a tab running JB.

Since when? blink.gif
I have been sending MP3 and M4A songs from my laptop and my 2ndary phone to my 920 by bluetooth, if it's only 1 or 2 songs (if alot i will transfer by cable, faster). After the phone receives it almost immediately it will appear in the "NEW" section.
If the song has proper details and album covers as usual it will all appear accordingly without creating a mess. I also send my mp3 to my Nokia N8 from my 920 - i use my N8 as a FM transmitter for my car radio.

DRM can be removed with your computer, by format converter, but make sure you maintain the quality - resulting fize size will be similar or even bigger than the original file. I have a format converter than can handle over 30 formats and codecs.
But most of my songs dun have DRM because i download from blogs

^ After passing a song through a format converter details will be lost, but i use MP3Tag to insertthe details and album cover back into my songs en masse.
I have over 90Gb of songs in my computer that are in mp3/m4a, not including my lossless ones yet, cant afford to be unsystematic.
