Actually the international version of Lumia 928 (Catwalk) is to be announced tomorrow. rclxms.gif Anyone who bought a 920 today without being aware of this, i guess i can really laugh (unless they are still aware but prefer the 920 for some reason). I read tech websites at least twice a day, i wont miss anything.

yup... just look at the lumia 920. They already sold it on Nov last year, but Malaysian only gets it on last February.

Lol. I'm actually waiting for the announcement in the hopes that L920 prices will drop to ~1200-1300. The latest and greatest flagship will easily cost 2k+ when it's fully released so it's not really worth picking it over an iPhone unless it's gotten a major hardware upgrade. As it is I heard there's only minimal changes, though with a probable aluminium build.

nokia lumia 928 codename is 'laser' and only verizon exclusive

lumia 'catwalk' on the other hand is international version which is stripped down from lumia 920. it will only have 16gb internal storage and no wireless charging. that's the trade-off u get for slimmer phone.

no u can't laugh for those who bought lumia 920 today because it is still the high end phone.

I actually think Catwalk is international version of Laser; No wireless charging is because of aluminium/metal build. 16Gb only but from what i heard, there is a SD card slot - If N8 had a SD card slot and yet maintain unibody design, i dont see why they cant put one in this Catwalk. If it is slimmer and lighter. i dont see it as a downgrade. There are quite a number of sissies i see online who complain the weight of 920 although i actually like the weight, so, the bulk isnt something that i would even take into account. I'd take the bulk if it has a better camera.

It's the same one used in 808PV i think; but only a selected few has these advanced mic =s; Lumia 920 and 720 also have. But when it comes to audio recording i think only the 928 and 808PV.I never attend concerts so the sound recording is not important to me; unless u plan on making quality homemade AVs. brows.gif

i took them into a comparison and 928 battery life are better than 920 although it using the same battery.

we will see how it goes tomorrow. I do not think 928 will be 'internationalized' lah, Nokia would never do that.. The EOS and Catwalk are differrent models. Seeing the teaser just makes me down a bit, it seems like 41mp wp phone is still a no go to Nokia

catwalk and laser are totally different since laser has AMOLED display and xenon flash.

it is not a downgrade because it is slimmer or lighter, instead it is because it doesn't come with wireless charging capability.

nokia has answered to those sissies u mentioned by introducing this catwalk by stripping the wireless charging component thus reduced great number of weight and thickness. this will capture more more audience to switch to WP segment.

for me those who wants a slimmer and lighter phone can get the catwalk. otherwise, lumia 920 is still the flagship from nokia.

the real contender that yet to be announced is the EOS which rumored to sport 41mp camera.

Catwalk and EOS are 2 different phones like you said, but i think EOS's possibility of making a cameo (before making us wait 3 months to release it) is only 50/50, and it will have oversampling tech like in the 808. The thing is that, i dont think there is any other processors other than Snapdragon 800 that can support that much MP (and i wish Nokia put that into the EOS to shut up the specwhores) but Nokia might do the same as for the 808PV - put in normal processor but it comes with an companion image chip dedicated to work alongside the camera. There's also a rumored Lumia 625 - mid-low end but 4.7' screen.
