i get what you mean. The wobbly OIS causes the blurry effect. Dont know if others notice it though (ps i noticed it since the 920 was released)

like i said.. The only solutions is steady your hands.
*
not sure how to steady more than that cos i fixed or lean my phone over rigid stuf already, almost like tripod, and place my phone on table, not held free hand like that.

dont know about mine, i think is just ok. how to replicate the wobbly OIS problem?
*
take macro shot,
but the phone must lean abit, like 45 degree angle..
if 90 no problem..

i think cos the OIS movement only X and Y axis only,

so, if lean abit, probably it dunno how to react and keep OIS-ing non stop.

i just do not understood this part regarding OIS, mentioning that with OIS could causes blurry images and slanted images.

isnt that OIS is a stabilizer that assist shaky hands? so why turning OIS off could helps getting better and clearer photos?

can someone please enlighten me? im a new to camera stuff.
*
ois in lumia i think is a basic two axis ois only.

if the gegaran is from top-bottom, and right-left only, it should manage it well. (| and <>)
the phone OIS can counter, cos it is designed for it,

but when the phone is slanted abit, ( / ) so the OIS mechanism not to say it totally fail la, but still not optimized,
it stil calculating or working very hard to keep the lens stabilizes until even during photons of light being captured by the phone.. so it means, the lens still in struggling motion when image is captured. only tiny movement tho..
so, theoretically the phone does not move, but the lens is moving rapidly that causes blur.

I have no problem with the OIS if phone is at ( | ) position.
Sometimes i do get super sharp image when at ( / ) position, but very rare lah.. must try banyak kali only can get..
I dunno how to reproduce, if not, i dont complain.. so it maybe depends on luck lah if i get sharp image.

No problem at darker ambient too  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

But my screen flicker a lot, dont have time to send warranty  cry.gif  cry.gif
*
after some heavy thinking last night,
i think problem is not ois..

perhaps my camera module not glued or the screw not tighten properly to the board..
then the larger clearance results in excessive ois movement..

so eventhough no movement or shake, the ois overdid the movement cos it can goyang on itself.. Got gap..

haihhhhh..

try it....

atleast from video tutorial for lumia900 is quite easy....for 920 i think also not that hard...more or less similar base...
*

at 19:04 the camera is closed module..
and sure it need something on the body to holds on to..

as you can see, the camera module rattles when he ketuk,
so, basically the OIS movement of the camera happens inside the module, not outside,
not the whole module unit should not move,

when the camera module body itself is loosely attach to the chassis,
so it will kacau or add trouble to the ois mechanism on the inside

^ Can use this video as a reference to open the lumia 920 casing.  hmm.gif
*
hmm.. maybe the gasket or rubber on the camera window on the outside doesnt press firmly the camera module,
perhaps it too thin or already penyek,
so the camera module able to goyang, which causes trouble to the OIS mechanism inside the camera module.

so, if i were to rectify this problem, maybe add some rubber ring on the camera window, so it presses the camera module firmly to the chassis.
