should check out HardOCP forum, u'll know that many people got cheated by SilenX's rating .....
the noise level always comes in this arrangement :
sleeve bearing < ball bearing < no bearing.
even with that, i only trust reputable fan manufacturers, and not over-rated BS
AFAIK, or as far as i've tested, panaflo is still the best when it comes to minmal noise. others just cant beat this legacy

QUOTE(evilnickwong @ Apr 17 2006, 12:26 AM) Thermaltake specs have always been a load of crap. 61CFM at 16dBA. Jeez. Anyone with common sense would know immediately that it's not possible. even the 120mm panaflo L level is more than 20dB. QUOTE(kev da man @ Apr 17 2006, 12:28 AM) panaflow the most silent? sheesh. you so called fan gods forgotten about the humble papst. papst is near to extinction de but so far i've tested 2 papst fan.....still panaflo's sleeve bearing beats all at the same rpm
