3. honestly, no..just remember to take care of the camera especially when it is out of the case coz if you scratch the front lens it isn't so cheap to replace..same like any other cameras..but no, you don't need to clean/brush it at all..

Thanks, let me get this straight.

1) LCD Bacpac understand is an addon device i just attach it and its like a camera.

2) Smartphone will be via the GoPro app. Understand you take your pictures then sync them to your phone. How will the syncing/transfer be done, via BLUETOOTH? WIFI? If WIFI does both device need to be hooked onto a WIFI network to do the transferring or is it just piggybacking on the WIFI capability to transfer.

Sorry for noobie questions !
Pardon my ignorance, can we still get the RM150 voucher from LAZADA?

Thanks a lot peeps!
*
1. Yes. LCD Bacpac is an add-on screen.

2. The GoPro application is for users to view the angles, videos, photos, settings and etc. The GoPro unit has a built-in WiFi. Of course to upload your videos/photos first GoPro app will download the video/photo to your phone and you would need to either use your own phone's data network or disconnect from the unit to connect to a Internet WiFi network.

Hope I answered your questions.

Heya,

Kinda new and curious about GoPro, I really like diving and is planning to get GoPro, but I would like to understand more about it first. Any introduction to the GoPro series which is most suitable for diving? And how much should I be investing into it?
*
Hi,

For scuba diving all HERO3 or 3+ units are suitable. However the quality of the video might vary as the professional grade HERO3+ Black is definitely at the top of the league compared to the other GoPro series. HERO3+ Silver Edition would be fairly enough but personally I wouldn't recommend silver edition with 2 reason. 1. the specifications is not as good as hero3+ black 2. you're actually paying about the same amount of money for the HERO3+ Black unit excluding the WiFi remote. WiFi remote cost about RM329.

I would recommend to get a unit, red filter and lcd bacpac. It would total up to a little less than RM2k.

Also a dive coil lanyard to hook to your BCD too just in case you drop it. Its about RM70.
Optional, antifog inserts to prevent your GoPro Housing from fogging. Thats about RM40.

Then you're good to go and record your dives!

[Sharing] As you may know, Ultra and Extreme Plus price is very big difference. I've been receiving feedback from customer about microSD Ultra & Extreme Plus with Hero3+, I'll just breakdown by function in general which I recommend you should go for:

1080p, 24/25fps - Ultra
1080p, 30/48/50/60fps - Extreme Plus

960p, 48/50/60/100fps - Extreme Plus

720p, 50/60fps - Ultra
720p, 100/120fps - Extreme Plus

This is just for general reference, some customer feels Ultra is not enough for their purpose, most of them are production house in charge of extreme sports eg. Rally, skateboard etc. So, they only have 1 shot at a time and dare not risk with Ultra.

If you're normal user with sports such as scuba diving, fishing, then ultra will work good enough.

Market Rate:
Extreme Plus 16GB
Floating around RM129 ~ RM189 depending on dealer/supplier/microSD batch.

EXtionHD.com - RM169 [Original from Malaysia Distributor, Lifetime Warranty]

Extreme Plus 32GB
Floating around RM239 ~ RM279 depending on dealer/supplier/microSD batch.

EXtionHD.com - RM269 [Original from Malaysia Distributor, Lifetime Warranty]

If you're a LYN member, PM me and I will pass you a better price for microSD ultra/Extreme Plus as we're the authorised dealer.

ATTENTION: there's fake microSD in the market as original is starts from RM'1XX.

Hey guys,
I'm looking to purchase a SanDisk Extreme 64GB microSDXC for my soon to arrive GoPro Hero3+ Black Ed.
Any recommended seller on LYN?

Also, I found some really helpful article on GoPro's site that might be helpful for others who are looking to purchase microSD for their GoPro.

Hi Teng,

I won't recommend you go for 64GB, get any 16/32gb SDHC is safer as 64GB is the only microSD with SDXC format. we received a lot of whatsapp/calls where customer is travelling oversea and they realize their file is not recorded or file error.

PS: I will PM you our microSD price too.

I've read that people will have problem with the Sandisk Ultras as the write speed of 30MB/s is not consistent nor as advertised.
I'm using the Extreme 45MB/s R/W which is good enough for me. Haven't tested with Protune yet but I heard it'll work fine too
*
Exactly, if normal simple use then Ultra is good enough. But for consistency, go for Extreme Plus.

Last time I saw at gopro website stated samsung micro sd. Im using that particular card. But now I dont see that card on the list..  cry.gif
*
They kinda *updated* the list of recommended microSD. It used to introduce SanDisk ultra and lexar too. No worries, as long as your microSD is class 10 and can run around 20mbps + then good enough to use, unless you're planning for slow-mo or 4k

is 720p 120fps on a sandisk extreme (45mbps) good enough?
*
for 720p 120fps, i would recommend you go for SanDisk Extreme Plus (80mbps) for smooth recording as its averagely 0.9 megapixel per frame

please be aware, for SanDsik microSD, there's only 2 class 10 that is suitable for gopro

1) SanDisk Ultra microSD Class10 - Max 30mbps
2) SanDisk Extreme Plus microSD Class10 - Max 80mbps

Some of our customers came to us when camera shop sold them SanDisk Extreme SD card. It happens, the shop will claim because customer said they want Extreme card only and no exchange/refund policy. Please be extremely aware of this!!!!

How does the warranty works if purchased from Lazada? Have been eyeing for one for quite a while, and the price is pretty good now.
*
I can say its theoretically near to no warranty, even local retail shop imports have warranty from their supplier nod.gif

1) The merchant in Lazada based in HongKong, its geometrically & economically impossible they provide *Local Warranty*
2) Lazada don't care, they're just a marketplace, and they will divert the *warranty* to merchant, by referring (1), you have to send warranty to GoPro yourself, which was suppose to be free and now its going to cost you money.
3) Action Camera is a very unique product, it is a high risk camera (unless you used it mainly for selfie), just our store we receive crashed gopro by weekly basis. Warranty is always the 1st of your concern in action camera, and most importantly, buy from someone who knows the camera instead of some random dude who just want to close sales.

and most importantly,

we received several button faulty gopro from lazada recently laugh.gif thats why I say its theoretically near to no warranty

ps: Not trying to splash cold water here but just my 20 cent, there's always a reason why support your local business.
