from my experience, amoled really hep me because of its brightness at outdoor it help me to use gps easily while riding motorbike.

Got S3 last year with maxis 3gb contract but got robbed so currently using Ace. Waiting forever to switch to this phone.

Because Digi starting pre-order this sat, I called Maxis this morning. The person I spoke to knew nothing (launch or pre order)  on s4, but I asked that if I got a LTE supported phone, how about my current plan? No need to upgrade? She said no need, just as long you in coverage area u just set your settings to LTE can already. Can anyone confirm this? Sorry if I posted this on the wrong thread.

Any LTE users now? Because I'm still on the fence whether to get the S4 Lte or the non lte supported one. Battery consumption is very important for me. Thanks

No wonder what she told me was what I could find from the website. Except for the 4G service can be automatically upgraded from 3G if have supported device and within coverage area. I found that quite hard to believe without having to incur additional charges. That's why I came here to ask if anyone here can verify.

Have to get ready for the s4, cannot tahan using Ace anymore. Been saving like crazy and acting like a total cheapskate for the past few months. Thanks for the feedback btw!

not to fear eMMC bug, Octa

eMMC is the embedded storage chip within the phone. Samsung had corruption problems which eventually bricks the phone on S3 and Note 2 exynos set.

mudkipryan94 Octa is the exynos set hence the risk is in this unit if samsung screw up again. LTE unit should be safe, which is why i gave u a 

But the eMMC chip in S4 is totally different model from S3 and Note 2 hence no one knows if any issue will arise. Its just pure speculation base on the manufacturer past issues.

Erm confusion. eMMC corruption problem has nothing to do with external sd card. S2 is alot safer than S3 and Note 2. As long as you dun do risky stuff like rooting and flashing it is safe. I would say all developer knows the risk of S2 so the problem is contained. S3/Note 2 is a totally different picture, even on stock rom, the phone can die tiba-tiba.

He was complaining he only got the Sprint version which had such lousy data connectivity that the data tests were meaningless. No Octa.

If you read the part about the Battery and Charging, it seems the Note 2 charger already employs such technology. 

Also, excerpt on the CPU:

Digging through the Galaxy S 4 kernel source we see references to an APQ8064AB part. As a recap, APQ8064 was the first quad-core Krait 200 SoC with no integrated modem, more commonly referred to as Snapdragon S4 Pro. APQ8064T was supposed to be its higher clocked/Krait 300 based successor that ended up with the marketing name Snapdragon 600. APQ8064AB however is, at this point, unique to the Galaxy S 4 but still carries the Snapdragon 600 marketing name.

If we had to guess, we might be looking at an actual respin of the APQ8064 silicon in APQ8064AB. Assuming Qualcomm isn't playing any funny games here, APQ8064AB may simply be a respin capable of hitting higher frequencies. We'll have to keep a close eye on this going forward, but it's clear to me that the Galaxy S 4 is shipping with something different than everyone else who has a Snapdragon 600 at this point.

Does Msia 4G Phones comes with antenna? My trip to Korea last year I saw plenty of Samsung 4G phones with antenna on the top right corner n they pull it out to watch tv. Or maybe Korea 4G is different from ours?
