But do we malaysians really need LTE? (For now).

Im within coverage 24/7, once I ve 'tasted' the speed, quite impossible for me to get a non LTE phone ( using Xperia Z at the moment) ..its like going back to dialup modem after having broadband

curious, why using lte will drain your data quota faster? what makes u say so?

Loading YouTube for example, with LTE, zapped whole video loaded instantly, whereas 3G won't. Add this adds up everyday, you'll use up data faster. On my Xperia Z, I used to spend only 1G a month, now at least 2GB, especially with all these election videos smile.gif

I don't think it's stupid to get non LTE S4 (though I personally will not as I've enjoyed the speed) because most of us on WiFi most of the time. LTE is super nice bonus say you are out and you need to view a video or download an app update or pdf attachment, you will go yeah! as you look at how fast the download completes.

hmmm... so u r sayng because the video loads up faster, u end up haveing more time to load and watch more videos, that's y it is draining your quota faster?

when user download 1GB movie, then it's 1GB quota utilised, regardless of using 2G, 3G or LTE.

then to be fair, it's not the "fault" that LTE drains your quota faster. it's the user that's using more frequent of the data by utilising the faster LTE speed. it's is purely the user's choice to download more content or not.

Have you ever load a YouTube video and never view or stream it completely? smile.gif
