I suddenly want this phone so badly...I have never own samsung phone before...wanna try it...can anyone tells me if samsung phones really always lag or hang? coz people tell me it's screen will suddenly jammed or what
*
The S3 doesn't lag or hang(per normal usage by any normal reasonable person). Only that the TouchWiz launcher sometimes forces stop or crash because it is quite a heavy launcher(but only reported by heavy users, and personally, I've never had the TW launcher forcing stop/crash on me, so I cannot speak for everyone other than to give opinion based on my experience). So maybe the 1GB ram on board is not sufficient enough to run it.. The screen doesn't suddenly 'jammed' i think they meant more of skipped frames, and it is due to the launcher. This problem doesn't occur when one installs custom roms that are lighter and not as heavy as TW.

and as many have mentioned here, this problem doesn't occur on Note 2 as it has 2gb of ram which is more than enough to fully support the TW launcher. and many are even satisfied with the TW launcher on the Note 2.

So most probably this lag or hang that you speak of would not occur.

oh now i understand already. so it has 2 gb ram of course won't hang or lag! very smooth

btw, why does s4 has two versions? One has 1.9 GHz and one has 1.6 plus 1.2? What's the different?

Which one releases more heat when you are using many applications? Which one probably use up battery faster? As I was being told by others here, they said quadcore is better than dual core coz quad core conserves battery better? I noticed on my android phone, everytime I play candy crush saga or open many social apps, my phone will be very hot when hold on hand, and my hands feel so uncomfortable dry.gif

is it just me or everyone is like that?
*
Smooth yes. Hang/Lag depends on the users. For example, what you install. If i installed apps that are coded wrongly it could make the phone hang. but does it mean it is the phone's fault for the hang? Definitely not. In short, all phones can hang or lag. There is no such thing as a hangless or lagless phone. But on a general note, it probably wont hang or lag unless because of like my example above and many more other factors.

the 1.9GHz is the Snapdragon 600 processor while the 1.6 will be the much talked about octa-core Exynos processor.

Which one releases more heat or uses up battery faster? Yet to be found out as S4 is not released yet. and there is no dual core here. It's quad core of the S600 or octa-core of the Exynos(Quad core x2, not actually 8 cores). I believe dual cores are a thing of the past now for most android flagship devices. But take note the octa-core uses big.LITTLE architecture that one of its main positives are better and more efficient energy consumption. So it is speculated that the octa-core would be better/more efficient at consuming/saving battery.

http://m.androidauthority.com/octa-core-sa...nchmark-187978/

but three variations of the Samsung Galaxy S4. First, with a 1.6 Ghz octa-core Exynos 5 proccessor and no LTE (GT-I9500). Second, with a 1.9 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with LTE (GT-I9505), and third, a Korean variant which features a 1.8 Ghz octa-core Exynos 5 processor with LTE (SVH-E300S).

Koreans would always get the "super" galaxy. Damn jelly them. Last time S3 also same, international get 1gb ram, quadcore and no lte. Koreans get 2gb ram, quadcore with lte. tongue.gif

S4 looks great but its a natural evolution from the S1.

Would most of you prefer IPS screen over AMOLED?
*
No way. for me, AMOLED > IPS. and those who keep saying amoled oversaturated colours and will look too fake, S4 doesnt have that anymore. The settings on the S4 can make the amoled look as natural as any IPS screens out there and at the same time still have the option that many of us loves. Great colours. So it's really a win-win situation already.

from my experience, amoled really hep me because of its brightness at outdoor it help me to use gps easily while riding motorbike.
*
Yes, it is true. I have to walk from my office to the car park almost every day and I know what you mean smile.gif
Last time before I used S3, my iphone did a pretty bad job at that even at full brightness and what's worst, setting it at that brightness, the battery tend to reduce drastically.

Interm of battery saver.. which is better? ips or super amoled?
*
If im not mistaken, amoled is better because it doesnt require as much battery..

Well its a fact amoled screen are oversaturated. No point showing angry face.  tongue.gif
*
Which i'm happy to say. On the S4, the colour saturations are much better and 'natural' looking..

QUOTE
Many people complain about the oversaturated colors of AMOLED screens (while others prefer them), but Samsung quells such complaints with the special Adobe RGB mode for the display, which greatly improves color accuracy.

While still having the awesome amoled qualities..

QUOTE
Excellent viewing angles and contrast are typical advantages of AMOLEDs and the Galaxy S4 screen is a great example.

Absolutely  rclxms.gif  nothing against HTC per se, just that the locked bootloader, nonremovable battery and no sd card slot is a complete dealbreaker for me.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Apr 17 2013, 12:25 AM)
per se ???
locked bootloader and non removable battery is okay, but no sdcard shakehead.gif
*
and smaller screen size!! <that right there is the absolute dealbreaker for me.. and with reports from users stating on some apps the 3 dot button cannot be removed or yet to find a way to remove it other than installing custom roms the screen is effectively 4.5" What a waste on a 1080p screen

to compete with HTC One right from Day 1. Not like last time S3 vs One X, one x was launched way earlier(so some of the would-be customers for S3 is no longer there).. hahaha. This time Samsung really wanna "kill off" competitors..

but i have to say, after change from Note 2 to One, i have no regrets.  tongue.gif, and if i have more money, then get S4 together. haha  thumbup.gif
*
yeah, of course. 1080p screen, and a metal body for a change.. But the 4.7" really turns me off.. I cannot fathom downgrading myself to a smaller screen..
