Hi all,
I was recently invited for an interview with CIMB for this Complete Banker Programme, and the interview is this Friday. Is anybody familiar with this programme?

Is it a good programme for a fresh graduate?

What should I do to prepare myself for the interview? Will there be technical questions asked?

How much is the pay?

If I passed the interview, should I go for it?

It would really help if you guys could provide some answer here... thank you. smile.gif

Yea you should definitely go for it! It's one of the best local banking associate program for fresh graduates.

If i'm not mistaken pay is around 3.5k awaiting successful candidates?

It's not easy to get in because many candidates also eyeing for it, interview and assessment should be rigorous, there are a few stages of assessment before the final batch of interviewees get accepted. I also heard from a friend that those completed the programme will not necessary be confirmed permanent staff, depends on performance.

Good luck!!!  thumbup.gif

I've been reading around in the forum that the programme is really demanding (long working hours), how true is it?

Also, any idea how the interview is going to be like? What kind of preparations do I need to do first? smile.gif

I seriously have no idea about the assessments, maybe other forumers will be in to advice later.

I have a relative working in CIMB Investments and told me working hours could be long, even managers normally finish work at about 8-9pm. Well, if they can pay you such wage for freshie, you should be prepared mentally to handle the workload and expectations?

I think the Complete Banker Program is the feeder program for future bankers to be placed in CF, Treasury and IB.

Are you a graduate in commerce/finance/banking/accounting?
*
Yes I'm graduate in accountancy.

First of all, where is your interview? Because there are 2 streams for this program, and your interview location determines which stream it is in.

You won't get asked technical questions, they'll all be fit questions, and sometimes they'll ask you what you know about the bank.

Oh I see. Well according to my email the interview is at Menara Bumiputera-Commerce, I think it's the one near Sogo. What stream would that be?

wrong info on the pay. expect 3-3.3

Thank you for the info. I'm assuming the pay is non-negotiable?

I went to the interview just now, the pay will range between Rm3300 to 3500, for the benefit of people reading this in the future smile.gif

You will be interviewed for the consumer banking stream. I've already given you tips in my above post. Speak confidently, with good English.

All the best to you
